  1. I'm so late, I suppose there is no CAKE left?? Happy belated birthday Gaz
  2. "Spray bomb" is the term we ALL use.................. maybe the boffins at customs thinks we are shipping 'bombs' and that's why Poor Rob can't get his primer??
  3. Apparently not, if there is double vision..................... vision-eyes ................. just knockin ya a bit buddy..... sure am glad to hear that this isn't anything 'too serious'...... if by chance it is glaucoma, and I sure as Hell hope it's not, keep on it... my mom has it, and has for quite a while , and is now nearly blind, BUT at 92 years old had to have a needle in each eye ball once a month ! I can't imagine that, but the old gal did it , religiously, for months...... so Harv , lets get this sorted, so you can get back to 'normal'....... and you may have to come to Canada for the 'special brownies', the 'ingredients' are legal here now................ .......
  4. Awe, Rob.................. that sucks, although I'm not really surprised, it's the same here in Canada.....seems they won't ship (fly) any of that sort of compressed air /paint stuff, internationally, but they will domestically, they use the guise of 'dangerous goods', internationally, but don't give a poop domestically..... or so it seems.... i feel your pain my friend................ and thanks for the kind words, yeah it's 'large scale' alright.....LOL!!
  5. Thanks buddy, the tech is something else.......performance is nothing to sneeze at either......
  6. Cuz we love ya Harv............................
  7. uuuummmmmmmm................................... it's not a model, but I got THIS today
  8. I hear you there for sure Nige, still, this thread is VERY interesting and most enlightening..... thanks for what you are doing, it is like candy..... I can't get enough of it.. ;-)))))
  9. uuuummmmmm.......................... not to be nasty or get myself into a lot of bother here, but I have been following along, in the darkness, and watching this incredible build with fabulous details, and information......................... is it just me and my cynical mind , or is there an awful lot of corrections and adjustments to be made with such a state of the art and expensive kit? I know we are all modellers, and we do like accuracy, but this seems to be an awful lot of extra work................. is it just me? Nige, I LOVE what you are doing and ALL of the extremely valuable corrective information...... I'm just thinking for me , and my crummy skills, this is one for me to pass on.....maybe the WNW one is more my style.....?
  10. Are ALL you guys mechanical engineers????????????? I see such cool stuff being 'scratch' built, and here is ME , who can't draw a straight line with a ruler, let alone do something like this............... Geez, David, that looks perfect....., excellent so far.......
  11. Yeah, that's the one.... it is a very good read, I know I enjoyed it, probably pricey in book form, I have mine on my Kindle....
  12. Couldn't have said it better myself, Carl...... we are damned if we do and damned if we don't go to them.....BUT , I guess, they do know more stuff than we do...... Worrying about you Harv........ let's get this figured out.............
  13. ??????????????? THAT is a HUGE PI$$ off, Bud...... I am gob smacked..... those guys have to fix that with no questions asked, and no money..... I would be furious...... I Feel SO bad for you Mate.......
  14. I think so too Carl.... and good for your ma... moms are cool.... mine isn't doing so well at the moment, BUT she is sharp enough she would take my Corvette out if I let her !! at 95 that's pretty cool....LOL
  15. Ernie, I have the ORB for 429 sqdn, give me some details if you can, and I will see what I can find for you. Cathy is on Ancestry and it is amazing what can be found there as well...... she did her late uncle, he was a navigator on Lanc's and Halifaxes, and she got enough stuff to make a 3 inch binder of information on him, we found strike photos, met reports, I/O reports, and on it went, we also have his log books which made some of it a bit easier..... you have NO idea how lucky you are to have photos of him, we couldn't find one of 'Uncle Jimmy" anywhere. I made a shadow box with his hat badge replacement medals ( court mounted) rank braid, this original operational wings a photo, and other goodies, in his memory. He wouldn't talk much either, but we now know what he did........it is cool stuff to dig and find this stuff out..... if you're interested let me know....
  16. NOT what I was hoping to hear either.................... I sure do wonder sometimes......I know they have your best interest at heart, or I'd like to think they do, but sometimes the pussy footing and dances a guy has to do is more stressful than just getting the job done, and getting the information..... do your best , Harv, as I know you will....... lets get to the bottom of this stuff, so you can get fixed and back to your normal........ I'm thinking of you buddy, and as always hoping for just a minor issue with a full and quick recovery...... keep us posted as best you can................. best wishes and best of luck with this
  17. HA, oh to be 50 again ! Happy birthday Danny...........................
  18. Well, HELL'S BELLS , I am IMPRESSED!!!!
  19. And I'm SURE Canada will buy the USED ones for our fleet, seems like that's what we do these days................... certainly with the jets.....
  20. Do you think they will make any mention of the W/C John Alexander Kent ( Canadian) ? Photo is when he was a FL/LT 'A' Flight commander 303 Polish Sqdn.................. Probably not....
  21. Martin................... don't you have a CAR to polish and detail????????????
