  3. So am I to gather the tires are a bit large for the rim to fit? Am I understanding that right? The Alcoa rims are the style we had on our trucks, so I have a set or two of them as well...... Ron have you checked out the Mo'luminum site for wheels and tires? Or Auslowe ? or even KFS?
  4. The whole kit is fascinating, the level of detail is crazy, and yeah, I agree, Carl got the mechanic of the system right on..... I have a silly question... the rollers up front that are horizontal, what would they be used for|? I thought they maybe should be vertical, so the cable rolls onto the spool so as not to get fouled in the gears etc ? Not being the least bit critical, they just look like the should have a cable thru them..... sort of as guide rollers? Or is there a vertical cable connection? I'm curious............ I still can't take my eyes off that engine...... it ski a work of art... I love that
  5. Harv < Carl is right the droop on the belt is spot on..... I struggle with that, lookin really good, old chum !
  6. When do you SLEEP, Carl? Between biking with the Fleas, model building on your own and with the Fleas, and brisket smoking, and ME texting you until all hours of the night, there doesn't seem to be many hours of the day left............... the boys will have fun with Dad on the bikes now!! Too bad school starts soon.. LOL!!!!
  7. GOOD to hear, John................. glad you made it through, and I agree, I am not a fan of the wind either.............. how did the neighbors make out, about the same?? VERY glad all is well......
  8. THIS Laura sounded like an old bitch, and she didn't match my picture either
  9. Maybe look into those 'tiny homes', the neighbor is into those over here in BC and they are proving very popular and he is really busy, he builds them, but someone has to design them.....
  10. FWIW I think the \IP turned out excellently. Your added touches made it look very realistic, I really like the final results, you efforts were worth it.
  11. Just watching some of it on the news and it looks like some of the winds have calmed a bit, still not good, but every little bit helps
  12. If it's that "close" then why not change the category, eh? I heard there were 150 folks who refused to leave.................. wonder if they regret that now?
  13. Sorry to hear that, Phil. This whole thing is getting rather old I must say. I am lucky as we are retired, but I do feel your pain. We ( Cathy and I ) have cut way back as well.... on all sorts of things......and that doesn't help your cause, but it sure does show a life style change that has been forced upon us, and that you are doing you are doing your best. Hang in there as best you can, Phil. I am certainly hoping we will soon see the back side of this turbulence and get back to the life we used to know. Cheers buddy.....
  14. Keep us posted as best you can, John...... this is scary and it brings it close to home altho we are thousands of miles away, it makes it more personal, as we "know" you are there, not just some faceless people....... there is a personal connection , we will be watching
