    I have noticed there are a lot more " Buy it Now" than there used to be... and I ALWAYS ask the seller about shipping, and usually I can get a better deal, because most use the generic Ebay shipping form, and that can be VERY high.... and most of the time, it is the shipping costs that put me off.... no sale if I have to BUY the ship or airplane that is getting the item to me as well as the item..............

    EXACTLY................ when they changed all our stuff to metric, here in Canada the story was, well England has metric and we are ( were ) part of England , Mother Country and all, so we should conform... yeah right.... this metric thing maybe the way to go and is all well and fine, but when the whole of North America is still inches, feet, miles, ounces, cups, gallons etc, etc, it can be really painful................. and even the news media still say feet, miles etc in their stories...can be confusing........ in the line of work I was in, I had to become 'bi-lingual, as it were..... I agree, Phil, GALLONS per MILE, is what we all grew up with, BUT once more, some politician making life altering decisions, on my behalf.........................

    I don't think nipping off the Beaver Tail will be a big deal, Ron.................. man your designing is awesome, will you be able to scale this to 1/35 as well, once all the files are complete?? The Cat tracks look incredibly accurate..... I love this stuff.....

    Cathy and I will do our best for you buddy........................ and it was a HELL of an explosion....I saw it 4 or 5 times, and still can't get over the force and destruction.... a long way from home but so close to home.... hang in there pal.....

    Thanks Ron, those die cast are worth a look for sure, I just wish our dollar was a little more competitive............ as far as the low bed, I would be interested in just the goose neck, as I have an old AMT low bed, just begging for a conversion, it's the goose neck and rams that are giving me some grief...... the deck part will be easy for sure....

    Thanks Ron, I did see that model actually... I have seen those excavators painted quite convincingly actually, and as for the trailer, are you going to 3D print the goose neck portion? If so I may be interested in a copy...... the low bed looks spot on

    Excuse my ignorance, John , but is there a particular significance to the bird, it self? I do really like the subject matter, I am just curious, as the Polesti raid is one that isn't modeled a lot, hugely significant raid, just not a lot of recognition, ................ just curious, and I will be following along.... very interesting project....

    I just finally got to watch the videos fully............... there is NOTHING about those units that is easy, those guys worked very HARD at the recovery work, I could not believe the heavy lifting those guys did on the ramps of the 20 ton and 30 ton trailers....... if they dropped one on the ground, they would have been thoroughly screwed..... and hand cranking the winch on the 20 ton !!?? The gear reduction must have been incredible, also those guys are an energetic lot.. ...... they had good crews.......
