  1. Yes you are correct on the color for cockpit and cabin. here s someone building a Bravo version, many 3d detailing. I always liked the Bravo, I should get that kit.
  2. Thanks Pete, Little progress lately, been working.
  3. Hi Pete, 'bout time you come to the dark side....LOL You can be sure i will follow this. Oliver
  4. Such an elegant plane. Looking good
  5. Ok this part is done, frame is next.
  6. Doors and windows not glued in place yet cause I need to some drybrushing work. I will spray dark yellow dusting once the model is completed to match the windows dusting.
  7. Thanks Pete. Here's how it stands today . Still need to do some dry brush and light dusting. The decals put up a fight, I almost scrapped them but a heavy dose of Solvaset came to the rescue. I did a light filter effect using light ocre, raw umber and white titanium, I was afraid to go too heavy.
  8. Not quite done on the dashboard but here's the first look.
  9. Seats were faded and highlighted a step further. Worked on the doors but they also need a bit more looking at the photos. I am redoing the dashboard since the dials decals did not go down as smooth as I wanted.
  10. Took a while to get all the parts painted Khaki Drab. I am doing post shading for a change. I am learning as I go on this one.
  11. Taking a break from Khaki drab and worked on the tarp, still needs a wash and dry-brushing. There is a good amount of fading to be done with this truck. Trying modulation painting.
  12. Hi, Slow painting process since I am micro sanding after I paint to get the smoothest finish.
  13. Hi, I ended up repainting the frame with Khaki drab, I really didnt like the OD Green.
  14. So I went with the Vallejo OD Green, much less of a headache. This is the second very light coat, so many areas where paint can't reach so will use brush. This looks SO green to me.
  15. Priming continues. I have purchased other OD green colors from other companies. I got the thinner for the AK paints after reading and watching many videos, it works better at very low setting on the airbrush as you can see in the palette however the coverage of AK is very poor in my opinion. I really don't want an uphill battle with the paint that's for sure.
  16. That looks just right in my book. Spectacular Pete. Is this for a museum?
  17. Yeah I am reading in AK paints right now, not a great track record so far. I am gonna try their thinner, if that doesn't work I will go to plan B. a lot of priming done today. I am gonna give it a few days to dry since I used Acrylic polyurethane primer. I need to turn everything over and prime the bottom of many pieces. Painted the engine but so little is seen of it once installed.
  18. Not having much luck with AK paint. so far not impressed. Doesn't work with thinner and 50% water diluted has very little coverage. I need to play around with the thinning ratio and airbrush pressure a bit. I am being told that AK paints are as tricky to apply as LIFECOLORS paints.
  19. Here we go.
  20. Any update on this one?
  21. cool subject . I dig the engine work.
  22. I do like what you are doing with this. very nice.
  23. Redone the Capony tarp and added some straps. Starting to mess with cables and ropes. I need to age the rope....maybe coffee or tea.
