Stress relief in a box!!! Tamiya Corsair
shark64 replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Looks sharp. I think when Mr Tamiya died making new kits became to expensive and are concentrating on their RC line. -
So nice. Gonna need a bigger base( famous movie line, well, I changed it a bit). great modeling

Pete, to be honest I am a bit apprehensive about painting it since I have never done any armor painting. Definetly outside my comfort zone for sure.

My boss and I were offered the movie RUST about 2 months ago and we flat out said "no interest". Yes I have an Opinion about Alec Baldwin. oliver

I handle all props for actors and teach actors how to handle weapons on movie sets. Glad u like the build.

The cabin and the oil tank are finally off the platform(not glued yet). It's time to install the hydraulics cylinders. Thanks to the potential Writers strike in Hollywood , all shows in Hollywood have come to a stop so plenty of time for modeling...

Never used AK paints before, I got 3 sets so I can mess with it a bit. Will let you guys know how it goes down.

New platform for the crane. I got my paint from AK(sold few photos for one of their upcoming story on scrachbuilding). Now I can finish the crane cabin.

Thanks Pete. I am changing the platform, the cabin is too high and it looks silly. ....Just a minor hick up. Will post soon.

spectacular interior Pete -
Working on the crane till I receive the AK paint from Spain so I can finish the cabin interior. The cabin and the hydraulic fluid tank will be attached to the crane frame. I need to build the support rig for the engine so I can work on the right angle of the crane mast.

right next to your Spitfire then.

I had to remake the door since I made a mistake in the way it opens and detailed the inside outside...ooops. Still need to add the glass to the cabin, I need to paint the inside first before I add the wall. I am not crazy about the control sticks so may redo that as well. I also added a sliding window on the door and the back little window(not in the picture).

Wow, this is so sharp. As I said before, this should be in a museum. Nice one Pete. -

I remade a cabin because the previous one got warped from the glue drying, I usually add a touch of superglue to help with gluing but I didn't this time...Cutting corners does bite sometime. I still have to create the details inside and the other wall and the door, I will have to paint the inside first before I glue the other wall. Oliver
