  1. Look what I found!
  2. I used to use this stuff back in the 80’s, surprised it’s still around, I have gotten better at taping now, so I’m not even tempted anymore.
  3. Sort of funny, because at home in TN, I had no problems accessing the forums, but when I was back in TX a couple weeks ago, I had issues getting on through WiFi the whole time I was there. Back home, no problems.
  4. Another nice one John! I love your builds.
  5. I tried to make the seats as scale as possible, the 1/35 figure I have in the seat, is actually sitting at an angle (as he was designed to sit to one side). I originally made the seats with 10mm wide, but had to step up to 12mm when I saw the figures were a tight fit.
  6. This is a cool build I will follow!
  7. The next part is going to be tough, making rectangular windows....
  8. More work done, I have actually been plugging away, I had to cut 6 pieces of plastic for each seat. For a total of 11 seats, that’s about 60 pieces of plastic all hand cut, each piece sanded, and then glued together. It’s taken me about 10 days to knock them all out. I had to build a couple of jigs to keep the angles proper, a few improvised tools to line up all the seats, and even the use of a miscalibrated eyeball. But, I’m finally done.
  9. Very, very nice finish, nice job overall! Although I'm curious, why did you start with an A8? Didnt both Hasegawa and Revell make an F8? Was the A8 better suited?
  10. Good to know. My flaps will be in the closed position!
  11. What, Ernie doesn’t have one on order yet?
  12. John, is this one of the chrome plated Tamiya mustangs?
  13. Very well done!
  14. Yes, it was a joke, hopefully WW3 didn’t start.
  15. OMG, did you just commit the ultimate sin and link LSP to LSM?
  16. I am slowly working on my fear of resin kits, this week I finally got ahold of one of these...took me almost three years to find one. Every time I tried to buy one, I was told it just sold. This time I jumped on it right away.
  17. Understood, i'm doing that with the MI-4 build. I had planned to scratch build the cockpit on the Beau like you did, but after I saw this set, my figers overrode my brain and clicked the order button. Maybe you can you the drawings to help you scratch build your cockpit details? Checkout the thread on LSP for details.
  18. Great info! Thank you! I am learning that there were many variations on these, so far, i found at least six variations on passenger cabin windows (bubble, round, square, rectangle, and combinations), and a few variations on seating layout too (6 to 18). The few pictures I found don't match the drawing exactly, but they used this helicopter so long, the variations are too many to count.
  19. I have been looking for a Russian print book on the mi-4, I found one on Amazon for a staggering $65, more than the kit, and then I found one for sale in Russia for $20, but two month shipping time. Some days you can’t win.
  20. Thankfully, it’s 1/35, so it’s easy to get figures for.
  21. Thanks for the pictures, yes i plan to add the support up front as it’s very prominent from the outside, and i am planning to bundle the wires, as well as add a few more. I figured they were stripped of all military equipment and I see valious brackets on the outside that need to come off too. It’s going to be clean but weathered, after all, these did have radial engines.
