I order from them a lot...a good business.

Looking good John!

Some items from AFV Modeller came today. Some aftermarket stuff to be used on my big Das Werk StuG III in 1/16. These include ammunition stowage racks that are missing from the kit. these would be visible if the hatch was open..so I think they're needed. Also, I got a better shell-catcher basket to replace the kits flat-sided one. I did borrow pictures from their website

Revell He 111 P - FINISHED!!
belugawhaleman replied to ScottsGT's topic in The Great Twins Broup Bluild
That's a kit I've wanted to build... a big He111. But could never find one. Anyway, I'll watch your build with intrest. I always thought that was a handsome aircraft. Those replacement brass landing gear look very nice. -
Just arrived....Got it from Burbank's house of Hobbies. From Tamiya it's their Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero Fighter Model 21 (Zeke) In 1/32 (60317). I've been wanting this kit for some time. It looks nice... I has lots of detail and many features (gimicks?) Like working flight controls, functional landing gear that fold and are sprung, photo-etch, and etc. I've been looking at the instructions that I downloaded from Scalemates for some time...it looks like a straightforward build. Going back to my roots here....I built a collection of Japanese aircraft in the 80s. They were mostly 1/48 offerings from Tamiya, Otaki, Hasegawa, and Nichimo.

What is on your bench right now ? Share a picture :)

Thanks, her recovery will take a long time but we're getting her the best help we can..we've got physical therapy all set up and in addition to my help we also arranged to have a nurse or aid to visit a couple times a week. What was great was the ability of myself and my siblings to join forces to organize and manage her care. As in your case , I feel its our duty to take care of parents the best we can. -

The plane and Figures are masterfully done. It's hard to believe they're in 48th scale the detail painting on the figures are so good! -

Whats on my bench? A big Sherman that now, due to circumstances, must be put on hold. A little more than a week ago, My mother fell on some stairs. The result was a fractured wrist and upper humerus. We put her in a local rehab facility, but we were not pleased with the standard of care. My sister and I have been caring for her at home. My sister is leaving at the end of the week, so I will be caring for her while living at her home. So, I will be away from my bench for a long time. My sister has been amazing..... She's like a force of nature: organizing everything so far excellently. I have some hospital experience with patients I think I'll do fine. I have already been bringing her to the doctors appointments and everything for a couple of years. I don't mind...it's my duty to do so. Anyway, I will still post things if I can; purchases, comments etc. I enjoy seeing other members builds even if I'm not building...The talent, civility, and generous spirit of this forum is amazing. Thanks; Paul P.S. My mother is doing very well and is in good spirits. -

I've watched some of Rick & Morty stuff....good stuff I also like some of the early Venture Bros.....anyway.. A good laugh sometimes really beneficial. Enjoy! -
I have this weird... Well, idea. I recently purchased a Panzer 38 in 1/16 scale. I already built one in 1/35.......Tamiya has one in in 1/48. If I can find ones in smaller scales......well, a sort of Panzer '38 Russian doll sort of thing......Is this weird?..... I don't know, just asking....these pills make me sleepy....Beatrice, is that you? Water please with my pills, my dear...now there's a good girl!

RLAF T-28 done

That T28 is beautiful John! -
Cool subject! I've been considering some of Amusing Hobby's offerings; their Fv4005 and Conquerer II kits. There's only one Fv4005, and is currently being restored on YouTube by a Mr Hewes. The Badger is certainly an intimidating beast!
-
Yes, I got those too.. I also have a 1/16 M5 Stuart by ClassyHobby.
-
How about an insane ,German, overly engineered, Huge, one-off mine roller thingy? The Krupp Raumer! It had 2 engines. Takom has kits in 1/35 and 1/72. I got one in my stash....
-
Whether you have the big Andy's 1/16 M10/Achilles or one in 1/35 (Tamiya shown) in your stash it would qualify as they were powered by GM 6046...a twin diesel powerplant!

I would have jumped at the chance.... I always do..bad impulse control... reason why my model stash gets bigger....therapy needed I guess. Oh!...that looks cool press buy now!

Thanks. Yes, looks like a great business..... Lots of interesting stuff offered with great explanations of each product. For now, I'm just going to make that 1/8 martians eye glow. This new tripod kit has a lot of potential in terms of lighting... With many YouTube videos showing how its done. The 48th scale '53 war machine demands to be lit. I was also pondering using luminescent paint charged by UV led lights...if that could work. Also perhaps glow tape or side glow fiber optic...We'll see . I started working on my neglected Andy's Sherman again, but as a simple side project, any of these kits would be great.

Last; from Pegasus hobbies, Their Alien Tripod (No. 9005) supposedly in 1/144 scale. This thing, when complete, stands 15 inches tall!
