  1. Hey, great job on the conversion. A very different, and good-looking TBM.
  2. Holy Cow! Fantastic work!
  3. Glad to see you back Phil. Great work on the cockpit!
  4. Very cool! Thanks for posting!
  5. I pretty sure the Tamiya kit is an Italeri re-box....It looks like an interesting build. Your model looks great Ralph!
  6. Same here...the real reason I gave up on my big Trumpy T 72 was due to the fact I had to mask the rubber side skirts on the beast..not a small task. When I someday resume building it, I'm going to do the cammo version. Anyway, I'm sure your F4 will look great! Is that the Tamiya kit?
  7. Understood, just saying..... I have about 30 of these things. It's just what I do. Anyway, perhaps I'll do the same someday.
  8. I use glass eye droppers with the rubber bulb.....easy to clean and re-use. Pretty much solvent proof. They can even be used with Tamiya airbrush cleaner. I also have the 1/2 ounce solos. For mixing I have a couple of the Tamiya mixer/stirrer things. The dental mixers look like a good choice.
  9. I use something similar found on Amazon. I've ordered these a few Times. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006WITD52/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They also sell lids for these which work well....I've left mixed paint in these placed the lids on them and the lids sealed well and i was able to store the paints that way for some time.
  10. Had this problem last year about this time with a Tamiya Comet kit coming from China......stayed in customs in Chicago 10 days. I ordered from Australia a couple weeks ago...only spent one day in customs in L.A. I would agree...it's because the time of the year.
  11. Hey, saw that! Cool
  12. Nice work John! The Wildcat... A favorite of mine! Love fat, little planes.. I 16, I 153, Gee bee racers, and, of course, Brewster Buffalos! I have the 48th Tamiya and the 32nd Trumpy offerings... Built the Revell 32nd kit in the 80s. Will watch!
  13. It's weird, because I was thinking, as I was looking at the Tamiya 1/35 kit this past week, that a big-scale kit of the subject would be cool...then it happened! Anyway, not sure if I'll get it right away as I have enough kits as it is...but cool! More wheeled subjects please! I really like Copper State Models emphasis on armored cars....especially WW 1 subjects, and I would like to see these in larger scales. I've had little time to devote to building My kits due to health problems and added responsibilities lately, but I do enjoy collecting kits and what I call a "golden age" of large scale kit availability. I hope I can present a finished build soon.
  14. Andy ,of Andy's Hobby Headquarters, has announced A 1/16 M8 Greyhound! Definitely on my list.
  15. Yes, it sure has! I plan to get the big Das Werk 1/16 Puma when it comes out . I've been stalled on my big Sherman build for a week now, but I'll get back to it this weekend.
  16. Ordered from Scalehobbyist this came today; In 1/16 its Trumpeter's T34/76 model 1943 (00903). Scalehobbyist has these for sale at a better price than most online sites that I've seen.
  17. Hey Peter, thought about getting that one myself, I'm sure you'll do a great job!
  18. Where did you get your barrel from?
  19. Got that one in my stash....looks like a great kit!
  20. Looking great Peter!
  21. Nice. I have a couple of Lee kits by Takom including the cast upper hull variant. Like I've said before..a big scale kit, for me, would be great!
