Scott, Yikes - not good news on the paint issue and fingers crossed the repair work will go well. 🤞 I always try to follow a general rule: after the final cleaning with alcohol or Self Leveling Thinners and once the painting process is underway, if my Tamiya anti static brush doesn't do the trick, distilled water is the cleaner of choice.

Ernie It's easy - just keep the non-detail blinders on and stick to what's in the box. Seems to have worked for me for decades.

Carl Holy smokes, the figure look fantastic and the red Fox details look as good as the Quinta sets. Just wish RF would have included seatbelts with their sets. Keep the ball rolling and let's get the Big Cat across the finish line.

Rob I've been waiting for your car build to hto the forum and now it's here. I'm signed on for the journey and will be following so very close. Nice start and welcome to the 'oldie kits' specializing in long cleanups before the actual construction can start. I'm still weeks into cleaning parts on my simple T Bird build and the worst part wasn't removing all the mold lines and injection pin marks on every part; dechroming all the chrome parts in Easy Off and I just finished sanding off the remaining chrome that would give up the ghost and then polishing the parts back to where they need to be.

Scott Have to plead my case. For me, it's all about scale and 1/25 - 1/24 is a large scale. I know what is considered large scale does vary from the class of model being built - but there is so much more available in the popular car scale. Maybe we just should look at it another way the other way for a GB and say as long as the figures are large scale, it's good to go. Of course, Ernie will have the final say.

Phil Could be said any better and how true. When you're ready jump in and join the party. Any thoughts of what you might want to build?

Ernie Thanks for posting the photo - absolutely gorgeous. The kit does does with the hardtop and most likely I'll paint and finish it and keep it next to the T Bird in the display case. on

HI Jeff Thank you for the offer down the road when I build the Vette. The Sunfire yellow I purchased from Gravity Paints (Spain) does show the correct body style Vette on the label and is listed for the "67 model. I doubled checked my references and yes the correct code for the "67 model is: Sunfire yellow 984. I should be good to go down the road.

Carl Never actually thought of it that way but it is a cool idea. I was thinking of car models themselves but both ideas would work.

GUS WOW, absolutely a stellar build and the weathering is so very realistic and perfectly done. Just a brilliant build. Agree 100%, Tamiya's incredible engineering is the benchmark and bar and their F-14 is a shining example. I still have a few more Tomcats in the stash and will be eventually building all of them.
