  1. Ernie Nothing like panning ahead and being prepared. Super progress and some mighty fine work on the P-40's interior. I didn't have any issues with part fit at that point and after adding, painting, weathering all the details in the rear portion of the fuselage, just felt it was a shame to only have the little access door to peek through.
  2. Haven't used it yet but it should work and no shrinkage from what I hear.
  3. Jeroen Very nice work on the engine. Fit and details look very good.
  4. Bill Mighty nice air brush work. I'm still super jealous about the masks.
  5. John I'm riding with you and just know there won't be any issues. Thanks for the photograph
  6. Come on Tamiya another sale next month. O wonder how many Spitfires Tamiya sold?
  7. Ernie Good thinking and a safe way to wait out the weather - nice start on the seat. Something so familiar about the seat. 😉
  8. Chris Any filler that is lacquer or solvent based, will shrink back as it dries. Normally after two or three coats and a good few days drying time, all is well. Epoxy and CAA do not shrink back but require sanding ...
  9. I have to confess, I'm not that good with power tools pass my electric drill and jigsaw. Times time and patience and the results are perfect.
  10. Dennis Thank you for the information - good to know as I'm going to be building the same Revell kit as John after I finish my Kingfisher.
  11. Thanks John They just look so different then the rest of the wing - guess it's the gray primer. Nice choice for the markings - Popeye does look cool.
  12. Martin Thank you for the update on Wolf. I know there were health issues with his wife Bonnie and she was recovering nicely. I had no idea that Wolf also had serious health issues and so glad he is recovering. I didn't know Wolf had health issues as well. When you talk with him, please say hello for me. Maybe when he is up to it, he can stop by and just say hello to the gang.
  13. John Glad to see the Spit is back on the bench and underway again. Not sure what you did with thew wing tips - I'm assuming they are from another kit?
  14. Martin, very much appreciated. I am very humbled, that my work reminds you of Wolfs'. I tried sending Wolf a PM a while back but he never replied and seems to have lost interest in modeling. Maybe someone has spoken with him to just see if all is well.
  15. Maybe there should be a GB of Tamiya Spitfires🏆
