  1. I have to confess, I'm not that good with power tools pass my electric drill and jigsaw. Times time and patience and the results are perfect.
  2. Dennis Thank you for the information - good to know as I'm going to be building the same Revell kit as John after I finish my Kingfisher.
  3. Thanks John They just look so different then the rest of the wing - guess it's the gray primer. Nice choice for the markings - Popeye does look cool.
  4. Martin Thank you for the update on Wolf. I know there were health issues with his wife Bonnie and she was recovering nicely. I had no idea that Wolf also had serious health issues and so glad he is recovering. I didn't know Wolf had health issues as well. When you talk with him, please say hello for me. Maybe when he is up to it, he can stop by and just say hello to the gang.
  5. John Glad to see the Spit is back on the bench and underway again. Not sure what you did with thew wing tips - I'm assuming they are from another kit?
  6. Martin, very much appreciated. I am very humbled, that my work reminds you of Wolfs'. I tried sending Wolf a PM a while back but he never replied and seems to have lost interest in modeling. Maybe someone has spoken with him to just see if all is well.
  7. Maybe there should be a GB of Tamiya Spitfires🏆
  8. Scott Yes, I received I believe two notices - one was my order was ready to ship and one saying it shipped with tracking: UPS. The package needs to be signed for.
  9. Dave Nice work on the engine interior of the 108 - the brake additions are a nice touch as well.
  10. Rog Hang in there, when it's all down and you are settled into your new home - all will be forgotten and the enjoyment of your custom built home will greatly outweigh any and all of the obstacles along the way. BTW, when we did our home renovation last year, all the incandescent high hat ceiling lights were changed to LED Daylights fixtures with rheostats sliding for brightness control. We just love them. Not for me to say but the LEDs are a must and I'm sure you can come to an agreement with the builder. come to
  11. Chris I rarely have to sign for deliveries but had to for the Tamiya Spit. Hang in there, I'm sure your Spit will show up today It's also important to use the Q Tip across the panel line and not rub along PL, as that way, the Q tip tends to dig into the Mr Surfacer and remove too much. I don't soak the Q Tiop either, just keep it damp.
  12. Gus Nice progress on the Big Cat's front wheel bay ... looking mighty good.
  13. Scott Amazing progress and so glad after using the table saw, you still have all ten fingers. The lighting looks awesome for sure.
  14. Chris Just take your time, Mr Surfacer just needs a few extra coats but no sanding required. 😉 My Tamiya Spit just arrived a little while ago. Tamiya most have sold a million of them.
  15. Just finished building it a few months back - Typical Tamiya awesmeness. e
  16. Bill Thanks so much for all the closeup photographs on using the pipe cleaners - results look very good and just a bit of cleanup need where they tend to lift. Red and white rudder stripes are now perfect 👍
  17. Nice to see a well organized bench with a build underway .. congrats
  18. Must be earning from John on including 'speed' into a build flawlessly.
  19. Just seems these days that the US market is now nearly last to receive most of the new kits 🙁
  20. Carl What can I say - the decal work is brilliant and blows away any of the stenciling decal work I've done in the past. Like Rob, it makes my F4's look like a piece of cake.
