  1. Thanks Gaz Very much appreciated. Most of the final bits have been added and I'm planning on putting the P-40 in the display case for a while so I can concentrate on my GB Kingfisher. Then I backtrack and finish her up.
  2. John Nice looking and colorful scheme - going to be a beauty
  3. Ernie LG - looking good and the overspray could be a bit of weathering as well.
  4. Carl I'm looking forward to the conversion kit and have a few Tamiya Spits in the stash, ready to use.
  5. WOW, I would never have known it's a Lego kit. I really don't see any blocks -incredibly designed.
  6. Kev Progress is progress .. and looking mighty good
  7. Welcome to the forum and a great way to join. Nice start on the ZM 109
  8. Maru Welcome back and so glad you will be an active part of our daily forums. I echo what all the guys have been saying and still can't believe that you, of all people would be banned. Just a bunch of guys and now gal(s), who enjoy the hobby, the fellowship and the friendship we have on LSM.
  9. Gaz Thanks so much. Is Kai planning on coming back when time allows? Just good to know all is OK.
  10. Mark I haven't heard anything at all and I even sent him a PM way before the 24th but no response. Just hoping he is OK.
  11. Ernie Nice work on the redo - looks mighty good and absolutely a gutsy move at this stage of the game.
  12. John Looking forward to following your progress. I have the kit and the Quinta detail set and was going to build it sometime this year. never thought about the Barracuda upgrade set but things I'm sure will change.
  13. Everything changes and those that don't change, are left behind. Just can't fight progress.
  14. Thanks carl Just find it fascinating how things were done in the past as compared to now. Almost a complete skill discipline is gone.
  15. Mark Looking fantastic - panel wash really brings out the details
  16. Ernie It's always something but the most important person to please is yourself. With all the hard work you lavished on the Helldiver, she has to meet your expectations. Glad you chose to redo the turtledeck as it would always irk you down the line. As they say: a gutsy move but well worth it.
  17. Awesome progress and I had to go back and read Robs comments to figure out what you guys were referring to. Once the lightbulb went off, it's amazing how they incorporated parts from other kits as details on the Falcon.
  18. Thanks Chris so very much appreciated. So happy my build might inspire others to build the same model - a wonderful compliment for sure. I'm a Quinta guy and while I haven't tried Red Fox or Look yet, just can't see how they could be any better - I'm just so pleased with the results I get. Going to take you up on the Molotow Pens in a while, especially the Black which seems to have a lot of possibilities.
  19. Dennis - now that's surely something and a terrific compliment for sure
  20. Thanks Phil, much appreciated. Just a few bits and pieces today and the P-40 will be crossing the finish line. In the end, she does look the part rather well.
