Latest info on the kit is up on: The Modelling News: Preview: Meng's Wild Weasel - a feature packed first in the F-4 series in 48th... Kit does look mighty good.

Ernie Awesome progress and the green zinc chromate looks so good on the lower wing interior - 'pops' all the details and allows us to see and appreciate all the work. Not sure if I missed the question on what adhesive to use to attach the PE panels and details - these days I use mainly either Micro Kristal Klear or Ammo by Mig Ultra Glues for almost all my PE work - work great and a good deal of working time. BTW, I'm in full agreement - the exterior PE panels and details do make a big difference. Rear canopy - fit issues? Why am I not surprised.

Martin Absolutely. My brother has major issues with his eyesight and has gone through a lot. He has been so vigilant and with his doctors, he is doing everything he can. Once all your procedures are over and behind you, you'll marvel at what you now can see and wondered why you waited - just human nature. Good luck and all will be well

Martin Good luck with your eye surgery - all will be well and I'll be waiting for your build thread.

Nose surgery for a Trumpeter P-51B
Peterpools replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
John "Lots of progress" doesn't come close. How about Amazing and Faster then a Speeding Bullet at the bench. I'm slow as a snail compared to your efforts. Paint work with the invasion stripes is absolutely perfect. And the nose: perfect. -
Thanks Carl Most likely I'll do the same

For anyone ready to purchase the Kotare Spitfire and Kotare being a new company, what is the best way to go? Order direct with shipping from New Zealand as with WNW Waiting for dealers to have them. I normally purchase my models and supplies form either Sprue Bros and Scale Hobbyist and most kits from each are at a discount but some such as ZM are not. Neither web site has the kit listed for pre order or even lists it. Just wondering what others are going to do, as Kotare hasn't listed any dealers yet.

Chris Terrific air brush work - cammo looks so good. I'm also curious as to how the light sanding will affect the over spray (which on my monitor I really can't see). For years, my everyday airbrush was the Iwata HP-CS Eclipse with a 3.5 tip and I used it so much, I finally needed to completely rebuild it as I wore it out. These days my most often used weapons: the H&S Infinity CR Plus with a .2 tip and an Infinity CR Plus with a .4 tip. Clear gloss work I still use my Iwata Revolution with a .5 tip. Why so many, who knows. I think collecting airbrushes was a sub hobby in itself (there are more neatly kept in a draw. At the first sign of trouble, I'm always back to the Eclipse. Your choice of airbrushes and tip sizes has all the bases covered and couldn't be better. My brother uses GREX airbrushes and loves them. I'm sure the year's layoff is the issue and the rough edges will work themselves out. So many other ingrediencies in the mix, just your time, it will all come back. -

Phil Terrific progress - pain, decaling and the P&W looks so good. And then the; 'Black Cloud'. Believe me, I know exactly how you feel. Seems you have joined the club of the Black Cloud: John and myself -

Carl Looking good and any pics of the scribing jig? I can always use all the help I can get when it comes to scribing. -

Carl I've seen quite a few of the eggplane style kits and always wanted to build a few, just never found time. Definitely going to build a few this fall; they look so cool. -

Tamiya F-14 VF-2 Bounty Hunters
Peterpools replied to Bill_S's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Bill Steller build and enjoyed following your progress from day one. Completely agree, how Milspec could have so many errors with their decals on the tails. A few times a month I have an opportunity to drive past and stop once in a while t the Grumman memorial Park in Calverton and just star in awe at the F-14A on display. What a gorgeous airplane. -
