Carl Same here, I would be all over it. I grew up maybe 10 miles from Grumman's in Bethpage but never saw a Tiger, just before my time and by then, they might have been assembling and flying the jets out of Calverton. Keep 'em comin Peter

Awesome kits and as of late, it's getting a bit harder to find them - just seems to go with the times Keep 'em comin Peter

Kev Nice progress and looking mighty good. Glad you didn't bin the kit. I looked at the instructions where circled but I didn't see where it noted to actually notch the wing spars. Am I missing something? Keep 'em comin Peter -
Sasha Amazing work and the details - OMG looks brilliant. Will be following Keep 'em comin Peter

Jerry One good looking Wart Hog. I'm sure you had some issues as it's the old Tamiya kit and I'm guessing around forty years old. Nice work as well on the Revell kit, as back in the day, nice kits. Sure wish you would do WIP threads for us to enjoy and learn from. Keep 'em comin Peter

Duchess of Kingston - Beauty of the Seas - Wooden Sailing Ship 1/64
Peterpools replied to DocRob's topic in Non LSM 'WIP
Rob Brilliant solution to cleaning up the canon wheels, as they look so good in the last photograph. The amount of parts and sub assemblies in a wooden ship kit is close to beyond comprehension - nerves of steel and an amazing amount of self discipline are easily the order of the day, no of the the build. Have you been keeping track of approximately the time you have spent so far on the kit - easily way past what would be needed on most of the kits we build. Always wanted to have some 'real' shop equipment but could never justify it as I am mostly an OOB builder. But I think if I ever took the plunge, I would easily go for a mini lathe and a drill press. Thanks Mark, much appreciated and for the balance of the week, I'll be working on my Embraer for the GB. Then back to the GT40, the clear coats and polishing. Fingers crossed if I can come half as close to your finishes and I'll be a very happy camper! Keep 'em comin Peter. -

Valkyrie Thanks Carl, much appreciated Decals went down like a dream. Holy Smokes and I've already bought four more sets for future projects, mainly Porsche 962's and a Jag XJR-9. I thought Mr Setter and Mr Softer were as strong as they get and even though I've heard you can use X-20A as a setting agent, I don't think I would have the never to try it. The Valkyrie's decals must have been like cardboard, any special way on using it without ruining the decals? Keep 'em comin Peter -

Thanks Kai Nothing more colorful then the decals and markings on a race car - these days, they are rolling billboards for product and advertisement but the GT40 but the Ford team cars were very clean in that respect. I just love the stripes and circle car numbers, as they seem to flow with the car. Glad to know you have recovered from your covid virus and are feeling so much better. Keep 'em comin Peter -

Thanks Gus The kit decals were just too stiff and had some issues and I'm so glad I decided to try Indycals set for the car. They laid down perfectly and respond to the Micro System with ease and no hassles. Keep 'em comin Peter -

Thanks John The GT40 has always been one of my favorite race cars from back in the day. While my first 1/24 race car build id decades, so far it's been "cuss" free and that's something. Keep 'em comin Peter -

Bill Some mighty impressive on-going projects. Any idea of when the PE from the Ukraine might arrive - just seems with all that is going on I wouldn't expect anything to be shipped from there. Keep 'em comin Peter
