  1. Holy Smokes - outstanding work and meticulously done. Keep 'em comin Peter
  2. Thanks Kai You're so right, as I worked through applying the decals to all the missiles in a production style. First I decaled the four Sparrows applying the same number decal to each Sparrow, then the next decal to all four and so on. Then onto the Sidewinders, where I repeated the same process. Lastly the drop tank which seemed way too easy. I'm not planning on doing an update when the semi gloss is applied as except for the toned down glossy finish, nothing to see and it does take me a while to set up, do the photography and then the post work. About two updates ago, I decided to 'Focus Stack' a lot of the images in Photoshop, so the model will be sharp front to back which isn't possible at apertures of F22 or smaller due to diffraction (just a matter of physics) . Yes, photography is a passion of mine. I'm looking at the next up date to include most of the finishing detail work adding the gear, missiles and all the other small parts I left off until the end, plus some of the hand painting that needs to still be done. 14. Thanks Hubert - going to place an order. Peter
  15. Phil Tough question for sure - how about the Tamiya P-38 and keep refining your weathering techniques? You already just finished the tougher of the two P-38's. Keep 'em comin Peter
  16. Mark WOW, the figures are looking mighty good and we're in for a treat: a diorama/vignette! Keep 'em comin Peter
  17. Just placed my order for the Viggen ad am going to order a set of masks from DN in a few days. I've never seen so many modelers say and then actually purchase the kit as I read other board looking for a build thread, which I haven't been able to find. I also had another post I started about the Jetmads' Viggen and asked about glue types and preferences. Smitty suggested CCA and epoxy and Hubert suggest HPH's AFAIK two part epoxy. Not sure which way to go. The only resin kit I've ever built was F the Fisher's Sea Fury and it's the center piece of my collection - 100% assembled with CCA. Any suggestions? Keep 'em comin Peter
  18. Thanks Mark, much appreciated Making progress and hoping to actually finish is a few weeks Keep 'em comin Peter
  19. Smitty Looks pretty cool ... go for it. Keep 'em comin Peter
  20. Thanks guys for the information . So I am assuming the model is all resin. The only resin kit I've built was the Fisher Sea Fury and I used CCA throughout the build. Hubert, if I go with AFAIK, does HPH sell it? Keep 'em comin Peter
  21. Just ordered my Viggen and have my precious order number. maybe a group biuld will be in order as so many have been purchased. One question I have seen a number of times is the recommended glue, as I'm not sure myself. Any ideas? Keep 'em comin Peter
  22. Thanks Rob for the info. Smell doesn't bother me as I always wear a respirator and use a spray booth these days. I shoot a lot of lacquers and nothing smells as intense as Mr Color. Looking forward to sing the new Tamiya lacquers. Peter
  23. Mark Agree as well all improve by watching and learning from other builders on the forums and then trying the new techniques. I do look at my work from only a few years ago and see a steady improvement - just adds to the fun and enjoyment Keep 'em comin Peter
  24. Phil WOW, fantastic prep work and I can't wait to see the Panzer progress through her various stages in painting. Keep 'em comin Peter
