  4. Thanks Hubert, just bought the black base and didn’t know it was waterbased, so putting Extreme Metal on top which I assume is “enamel” or similar doesn’t have an effect???........
  5. So......next is the gun bays........forgot I had the gun bay PE and then the metal barrels..........still can’t believe I got all of this for £83.00............
  6. Glad I’m not the only one, saying that I have the original boxing of the Airfix 1/24 P51D that I bought in 1974.........it’s started........it’s in the garage...........
  7. This piqued me to do a bit more my KGV........
  8. Looking good, really impressed with the quality of the detail, will you pose this without the turret?
  9. I know what you mean my KGV is now 6 years in progress..........

  14. I thought about the Tuskegee guys to, can’t seem to find decals at this scale...... Not going to even contemplate the puttied wings scenario as Hubert said can of worms.........
  15. That will feed the 5000 ?.?.?
  16. Thanks Kai, much appreciated, the u/c took a long time to cut out all of the not required elements, that’s where a good 10A blade is invaluable. The sub assemblies are pretty much there, the box is getting empty. Need to finish replacing the barrels and aligning them with the ports etc.....Still don’t what scheme I’m doing yet it will predominantly NMF.....
  17. Really really love them, have been coveting these for a long time. These are the cheaper end of the market at around £17.00. The beauty of them is the part doesn’t “ping” off across the bench, literally just falls away. The cut is square to the part so you can go as close as you need, clean up is very quick. There is no vee cut as with conventional cutters. The max cut is 3mm, I’d never push them that hard. The blade does look fragile but man it’s sharp. Phil Flory of Flory Models compared them very favourably with the Dispae set. The Dispae set is maybe double the money and having to work on a budget at present these were the ideal buy. Haven’t used the others but very very impressed with these Trumpeter Master Tools ones.........
  18. These are my first pair of single blade cutters.......wow love them......and they did not cost a fortune.......well recommended......
  19. Thanks Carl, took me forever, I think the legs look better for trying to replicate the correct connection brackets.......
  20. Sub assemblies coming together, soon have to button up the cockpit and add all the panels, looking at the u/c as a distraction. The pic on the right is the un modified leg. The torque arm has been cleaned and infill styrene removed, very carefully..........more details to be added to the engine, still not quite happy with it.......double checking fit and alignments as required......thanks for looking in........
  21. It’s not as if you like F-16’s...........hopefully you do........
  22. Absolutely stunning, when I went to fit my auxiliary doors, one dropped into the fuselage never to be seen again. Had to remake one
  23. Great attention to detail Ian, those engines look so small against the mass of the Lanc. It would be interesting to do a Hercules engined Lanc next........
