Looking good, never done any stand alone artillery pieces......hmmmmm -
Pit done, great doing Harv, those belts are fiddly, the 51 ones are metal so I find them a little more forgiving......

Zoukei-Mura P51D Mustang SWS No 4.
Bomber_County replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Another update, so with the IP and side walls complete, time to do the aux tank and radios, added some wiring to embellish the area and tried to get a insulated covering on to the aux tank. Engine coming on slowly, tried a new method here, AK extreme aluminium and the over sprayed with Vallejo RM66. When rub it the alumni shows through, early stages yet but it might work....... Also tried the radiators again using AK True Metal gunmetal and then added a black wash over it. After drying buff as required. ........The seat is the mid production 51 seat with Eduard belts, they have to tidied and secured to look right.....- 297 replies

I’m intrigued because this a B Mk 1, I’m not sure if the later marks superseded the Mk 1. I also didn’t realise that the Mk X coming out of Canada had the Packard Merlins, which apparently caused havoc when they were sent to RAF squadrons rather than RCAF. The RAF had no spares for the Packard as they were very slightly different.

Dragon Pz IIIM Neo Kursk
Bomber_County replied to GazzaS's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
I like it a lot Gaz, I hear what you say about the photography mine sucks. I think we are all self critical of our builds. I looked back my first finished project I posted here, IMHO it was poor. Each build I try something, as you have with the figures. To me they look good, I don’t even try, as again I suck at them....... -

I’m sure you’ve seen this page...... https://www.bombercommandmuseum.ca/bomber-command/bomber-command-no-424-tiger-squadron/ Didn’t realise they were so late converting, half way through the 6 Group history. Presumably they were flying the Hally with Hercules engines up until then....

Model of the Year? What say you?
Bomber_County replied to Clunkmeister's topic in Modelling Discussion
No purchases this year for obvious reasons but did get the Tamiya P38 for Christmas last year, it does look amazing. I still have the Eduard boxing of the Academy Early P38’s with all the resin and AM. I am tempted to use some of the Eduard AM and resin to embellish it even more........
