  1. I’ve now caught the scratch building bug. Adapted the 20mm , the ammo rack is kit PE, firing handles and recoil added more to do on this The grab rails as you can see were awful amorphous blob. So 1mm brass drilled out and cut Alu ferrels and after I’ve cleaned them up, I reckon they’ll be good to go……..I’m happy with them…….
  2. Takom M103A1 & A2 arriving soon and Kotare are adding a second pre order goody to their Spitfires. A set of exhaust stacks…………plus shipping early to mid March……….
  3. Really diverse additions, congrats ICM. Personally pleased about the B26, British aircraft armament, Sally and the Sd 251/8 Ambulance…….on the wish list now…..
  4. Great modulation, congrats…..
  5. Welcome Luke, looking forward to some tips and tricks. Love to see more pics of this build……
  6. Dean, this one got away from me. First off welcome to LSM, by the looks of it UK based. Fantastic project on the Huey. Looking forward to more, BTW great diorama………
  7. Absolutely stunning Oliver……
  8. Totally agree with Peter as I am at the same level. I’m going to start my Tamiya Mossie, I bought it back in 2016 I think, it’s about time. Thanks for the motivation…..
  9. I kept mine and are using them as a rivet and nut etc scratch building supplies…
  10. I see a purchase of a Tamiya kit happening. The position of the windows look so dreadfully wrong, didn’t anyone measure a real plane. Maybe there isn’t one?
  11. Apparently only 13 were ever built……….very Sunderland esp……
  12. It’s the sanity I’m concerned about………it would be fun but just doesn’t push the right levers………
  13. I’ve be thinking about this also. I think I’m going to finish and spray all the deck assemblies, then spray the hull and deck. Then assemble everything, there are tabs in the deck that I can glue the deck elements underneath. The helm and bridge will need spraying twice as getting in to detail will be difficult. That s the plan………I hope……..
  14. Thanks John, it’s a fun build except the continuous cleanup of the parts. You may be able to pick up another on eBay. Alternatively have a look at their S38 or S100………
  15. Looking good Gaz, the fish are a thousand times better. I was thinking the same on the Elco, the deck components will have to be finished and then applied to the deck, fingers crossed……
  16. Scott, absolutely stunning build, I didn’t realise I was so far out of date. The interior is going to look amazing with the lights etc. looking forward to the secret at the end…….
  17. Chris, I have been very amiss in following. Just caught up, the new tail looks great shame the trench work was so pronounced. This is certainly going to look a stunner. I have trouble with 35th let alone 48th figures. I she going to be in flight?
  18. Roll on retirement or if I read the sign’s correctly at my company the following may happen. We have recently merged with another company and then we have all been acquired by a multi national. So my company is dead in the water and hopefully after 28 years there they may just make me redundant. Here in the UK we are eligible for severance pay……..This is after a HR email saying “we encourage “ everyone to apply for positions in the multi national company…….hmmmmmm
  19. Thanks Martin, it’s a fun build. As for the camo, I agree the stock OOB scheme is a little boring, trying to replicate this scheme is, let’s say be a challenge……I reckon try it on a paint mule first……..
  20. Rob, I reckon I’d be seriously mind warped after attempting that……
  21. Reacquainting with Barr Brothers, Midas Falls, Bon Iver and Bonny Light Horseman, the Barr Brothers I believe a Canadian band.
  22. I dare you to get a hamper for the beloved……….
  23. Gecko releases, this plus a Canadian Ram Flame thrower. Full interior and engine………the APC looks amazing……..add……
  24. Amazing work from both of these modellers, I guess it’s yet again the question of time. It would be interesting to see how long these creations actually take. Way beyond my amateurish skills……..
