Thanks Chris, it’s slow I know but very enjoyable, just wish I had more bench time…….. -

Thanks Peter much appreciated, the helm is probably not scale accurate but adds a little interest. The kit parts just consisted of throttles, PE switch plate, wheel and instrument decal to be added. So very very little. A little more PE would have pushed the price a fraction but considering it’s a considered buy in the first place in the long term worth it……….all the cleaning of every single part is also really annoying but I must admit I am fairly OCD of getting every part under the magnifying lens……. -

Carl, man that would put you in a tail spin trying mask and spray that camo……thanks but I think I’d have a migraine every time I looked at it…… -
Glad you’re feeling better Gus, great game, the RFU didn’t give Borthwick enough time, oh well, some good rugby year this year……..

PW, this came together beautifully and so quick. The camo looks spot on. I’ve got the Eduard G14 in the stash with AM. After seeing this that maybe a side project together with the Elco. Sport is my downfall, with the Six Nations on, that’s at least seven weekends partly ruined. Also WFH but my company insists on an eight hour core day. So week day modelling is literally zero…………

Mark. Thank so much for the links, there going to be have to some late night reading to scour details for the build. So very kind of you. Shame you couldn’t be joining us. Thank you once again……I tried to join the PT Boat Forum but had a very rude email back from the admins because I had followed their instructions to the letter……….I didn’t bother after that…….. -

Thanks Gus much appreciated, my scratch building is no where near as component as some people here. Getting the scale right for the helm components was the biggest headache…….. -

Thanks Carl, not a lot of bench time at present. The rivets are not perfect in scale but add interest…. -

Ok guys, update at last. With Griffon not supplying a PE set for this, I’m having to do a little scratch building. The reference photos are in pretty short supply other than overall shots. Did find one of the helm. Do this is my poor interpretation of it. The right wall of the cockpit is yet to be fixed. This is due to a warped section of the turret section. The overall shots are the elements just laid in and not fixed. The helm has been fun but I think I’ll leave it there. Dead lights in using Future also ventilators. Every part has to be cleaned of mould steps and impressions, some misaligned tool halves. The DAK figure adds some scale. Fun build, hope you guys like………….solved the problem of bolts and rivets. I swapped the tracks of Takom Mark 1 for AM, so the left track links are peppered with rivets etc. A quick shave off and then place as appropriate or guesswork……. -
Carl , looking great. So wish Griffon had done an update for the Elco. Having to scratch build everything…….update on the Elco later today……
-
Gus, sorry to hear about you both contracting the virus, Tomcat is looking stunning………get better soon….

Ironically a number of retailers over here have received new stocks of Tamiya’s ancient 1/48 Lancasters in all variants. …….one thing did make me laugh, the new 2023 Tamiya catalog is yours for £16.99 over $20……..I think I’ll pass…..

Stunning PW, we can’t keep calling you that! That was JohnB pace. I must admit I’ve pretty much done with Tamiya armour. I have just a KT in the stash but have all the AM including zimmerit. They do not bother adding the detail of RFM or Dragon, shame really……..
