  1. Went a little mad, my excuse that haven’t bought anything for awhile. Final items for Mosquito plus Beaufort and F16 plus AFV. Really impressed with the Red Fox sets and the KitsWorld Beaufort IP are equally good. The Dspiae drill set is well engineered , I love tools and making handle rails is tricky, hopefully the Master Tool set will be good……
  2. Some great natural light in the mancave, this modelling room is going to be awesome. Unfortunately there will no excuses now Harv………
  3. https://www.rfstudio.hu/termek/358# Red Fox as ordered……..
  4. I missed this completely, stunning cockpit a masterclass in itself…..
  5. Red Fox IP……… https://www.rfstudio.hu/termek/358#
  6. Believe me it’s grey, dark and cold, it’s only 40 miles away from me………..
  7. Rob, absolutely stunning, took my off it for a second, going to be a winner…….
  8. Thanks Kevin, much appreciated, it’s looking a bit new for my liking……
  9. Looking amazing as usual, this is going to turn out to be a 5 day build at least….
  10. Stretching sprue used to be an art form in its self. I tried just recently and the result was …………….
  11. Looking good PW, not sure anyone bar UK based would understand the phrase going Pete Tong……….I cut my teeth with the Tamiya KGV 1/350 with White Ensign PE…….…still haven’t finished it ………the WE instructions were hand drawn and as useful as a chocolate armpit…….
  12. I’m a rugby person, always fancied having a go at American football, probably not at my age now……
  13. Thanks Peter, it’s all hanging out there to be viewed. The Bofors definitely needs some weathering. For salt spray in the wheelhouse I’ve used Vallejo White Model Wash, it’s subtle. Not sure if anyone noticed……..
  14. Chris, much appreciated it’s a fun build. As for scratch building material, brass and plastic rod, a few sq sections and sheet styrene is all you need. I approach it like DIY but smaller…….
  15. Thanks Rob, you dead right about planning, there is only a certain distant you can throw paint into a corner……..
  16. Thanks Martin, there are a lot better modellers here than me. 1/35 does lend itself to adding detail and love to to do a big EBoat after this…….maybe……
  17. Peter, sorry to hear about the appointments. The Spit is looking amazing, as others have said perfectly executed……good luck this week at the doctor….
  18. Looking forward to this, wonder if the part count may increase build time……..not one iota………let’s see the engine John……….
  19. Thanks Carl, it’s true you have to think 6 steps ahead. The wheelhouse has enclosing partitions so the likelihood of finishing the assembly then spraying etc was ridiculous……..
  20. Didn’t realise I’d not done an update for a couple of weeks. Life & work keeps getting in the way of bench time. The Bofors is finished and a couple of items like ready ammo holders added. Sprayed the primer so I could complete the wheelhouse before adding all the side walls etc. This build needs some thought as the order to complete items. The Bofors needs some weathering yet but this where I am ……….the wheelhouse still also needs a little work on……..
  21. Chris, looking amazing, congratulations, the insignia’s being sprayed certainly makes a difference….
  22. Gaz, looking absolutely amazing. Similar to Rob, I ever only built one Split in my life. So the question begs……..Kotare or Tamiya, I believe both are similar cost (in the UK) so watching your build with interest……..
  23. *()#(+)’*£/()&)&(#)…………..me thats £410 UK …….cheapest here is around £620 around $750…….say no more 🤮
  24. I’ve never seen this kit before in all the years. Amazing scale as well 1:232……. Hubert there is a 32 in it so you’ll be alright……..
  25. Excellent, thanks Ernie. I’ve a few 48th, even couple of single engine kits I’d like to show……
