  1. Thanks Rob, I also love the design of the Lizzie, specification was issued 1934, first flew 1936, issued to squadrons in 1938. One of these strange pre war oddities. Really enjoyed the build…..
  2. Thanks so much Peter. This was my first attempt at streaking and for once it worked for me…..did enjoy this build……
  3. Thanks Rob much appreciated, I do like the North African livery as well, I’ve the ICM He111 H6 NA. You should definitely do the Do 17 in it……
  4. I have been re-miss of not showing the finished model. My first ICM and well recommend them. An enjoyable build my first Axis aircraft subject for probably 40 years. Hope you enjoy…….
  5. At last I have collated the pictures of the finished project. Eduard Profipack Lysander Mk III ( ex Gavia ). Really enjoyed this build as the wing structure and position was a challenge and for once I’m pleased with the finish. One mistake was I forgot to take off the masking for the spat lights….hope you enjoy…..
  6. Kevin, cool to change genres now and again. Like you, never built Miniart, they do a plethora of interesting AFV’s……following with interest…….
  7. Looking very good Gaz, figure painting is amazing, sorry the mesh didn’t workout, soldering irons, fingers and tiny parts do not really mix……
  8. Very polished build, love the factory fresh look. There are so many variations of AFV’s on this chassis…..
  9. John, love the result, stunning as usual. Great perseverance like the never say never attitude. This is the only one I’ve ever seen completed. Didn’t they do a wingfold AM or am I dreaming. If they did should we dare you……
  10. Well back, I always get confused with interior colours for AFV’s……..
  11. Peter, I’ve been experimenting with spraying the engine with Xtreme metal gunmetal / Alu and spraying semi black acrylic over the top. You can then scrub some of the black off to show the bare metal. Just a thought…..
  12. Thanks Gaz, the Eduard covers are thin and I’ve preformed them, I think they will be ok. On the Wildcat it was only the tray covers which were hinged……I think….
  13. Thanks Kevin, this hasn’t been to bad. As I think Ernie said once, a true shake and bake kit tends to become boring after a while…….
  14. Thanks Rob, agreed and I’ve actually got the correct colours in stock for a change…….
  15. Thanks Peter, ironically the weather last Friday was 33 degrees followed by Sunday at 14 degrees. The roots took 3 attempts, I may just revisit again……
  16. A book originally published in 1961 by Shirer who reported in Germany up to the outbreak and then covered Nurember. He apparently then had access to state files.and diaries………I read it probably 40 years ago…….so here goes again….
  17. Peter, wow….flawless as ever……great start and almost John’s speed of building. I’m similar to Rob, only ever built one Spit in my life, Airfix 1/24. Very badly I may add was in my teens…….so it’s about time to remedy that……
  18. I think I’m happy with the priming? The wing roots were a PITA……. The gunbay covers are PE so just blue tacked in position…..
  19. Missed this one, stunning I’d need a telescope to work at that scale…….
  20. Rob, this looks absolutely beautiful, I’d skip the rigging and so you’re finished……..that’s if I ever got this far…
  21. Mark, I know your pain, all three of our cats are now hunting in the big sky. Unfortunately all three went the same way as your Min. We have now decided no more furry friends, the pain is just to much when they go…….thoughts are with you….
  22. Welcome aboard Ernie, dive and have some fun."….
  23. You will never cuss another Trumpeter kit now…….or perhaps you will…..
