Beautiful finish as ever John going to be another stunner. At the end of the year you ought to show all of your 2022 builds. -

Thanks Dennis, definitely looking into your suggestions, this part of the build does tend to bite me to many times……. -
Trumpeter F4F-3 Late - 1/32nd
Bomber_County replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Thanks, I definitely going to look into stencils, as for this Wildcat, I’m going to live with the blemishes and finish it up………it’s either that or the SOD and I have two 32nd’s languishing there already……… -

Thanks Rob, I was thinking the same, any colour other than white will make it standout. I need to look into stencils…..thanks for the recommendation… -

Thanks Gaz, only trouble is once you know it’s there …….I must admit this maybe my last Trumpeter as well, I tried their AFV and wasn’t impressed either…. -

Thanks John that’s a really neat idea, showing my ignorance here but never heard of liquid decal film…… Time to do some research……. -

Bomber_County replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Thanks Peter, there are a lot of curves for it adhere to…….this is the outcome, this is the worst one…….the other side even though it was in three parts has aligned almost perfectly……..not sure what to do now, perhaps something weathering may hit it back….. -
Trumpeter F4F-3 Late - 1/32nd
Bomber_County replied to Bomber_County's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
This one will not lay down, re sprayed the fuselage without screwing up the wing decals. Glossed over and laid down both fuselage stars……..both broke into three segments……….they are aligned as best I could and copious MicroSol applied………I may have to strip this back completely to bare plastic and start again with decals not from Trumpeter……..time will tell…… -
All three of our cats were from rescue shelters. All were huge characters, unfortunately all have gone now. Do miss my furry critters……

Special Hobby Whirlwind
Bomber_County replied to Peterpools's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Peter, just catching up again, the camo came out perfectly as ever and the decals looks as if they have been stencilled. Will there be any weathering? Congrats on another stunning build….. -
Carl, brilliant review, thank you for taking the time to show this……..and yes I will buy one……….

Good start Gus, yet to build a big 47, be watching with interest. On holiday this week so trying to get some bench time….. -
Gaz, just catching up. Having done two ZM , 51 and F4J my experiences are dry fit a lot. The engine mount on the 51 was also very delicate and took some alignment, copious amount of blue tack to get alignment and hit with extra thin. Saying that love ZM to pieces and hats off to them for sticking to their ethos. Your build Gaz is stunning congratulations on a masterpiece….

Welcome back Ron, it’s be awhile. 1/35 is the largest I’ve gone on tanks but never say never. I recently did a RFM Pz IV H. The RFM instructions were very good, look up the instructions on Scalemates of the RFM Pz IV H full interior they did give some painting advise……..link here…. https://www.scalemates.com/products/img/4/0/4/1326404-43-instructions.pdf My 1/35 Pz IV H…..

F4U-1A Corsair Tamiya 1/32
Bomber_County replied to DocRob's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Rob, my bad, work has got in the way looking at WIP’s. Stunning work on the Corsair, my first 1/32 when I came back was also the Birdcage, I screwed the rear “windows” behind the cockpit and made a mess of them trying to unglue them etc, these were early days of my return. It still sits on the SOD……….yours is ping to be epic as ever…… -
Beautiful location Alan, you’re lucky up there, we’re not allowed to wild camp down here. Walking the woods and forests is a great leveller and just getting back to nature. Totally agree with you……..

I try to put the relevant AM in the kit boxes ready for the start of the project…….it sometimes works bar the Tamiya Mossie that has two sets of IP’s and seat harnesses……..
