  4. Oh boy, that’s right I forgot about this beast. Hello Mark, thank you for chiming in and welcome to the forum. I haven’t got to the painting stage yet, however I’ll look into it to answer your question. cheers Martin

  6. Thank you Marine, enjoy you time in this Mecca of aviation coolness. love and sissies
  7. Hmmm. Often the lend /lease stuff were destroyed after the war, that way the leasing contract was fulfilled without paying. Unless the return/ purchase was reasonably applicable. I don’t see reason why would Royal Air Force be using surplus paint in Korea, five years after it was produced. ,,, but instead of speculation I can look into it.
  8. It is , wide body all framed up. Getting civilized, cage is out, seatbelts in etc.
  9. This baby is getting some love after ten years of hibernation. tweaking the rear end a bit, some wiring issues, new carpeting, Corbeau seats and some sick 18x10,5 rims in all four plus appropriate rubber. no more racing, just old fart cruising down the lane to pick up his new walker.
  10. To my best knowledge the cockpit was unfinished and there’s only one available drawing of the proposed panel.
  11. Amazing build, I remember seeing these at a surplus lot in Kent back in the day. Together with a bunch of sweet looking Land Rovers. Damn , am I getting old or something Thank For sharing Cheers Martin
  12. Well known pictures, but Im gonna hang it here just in case.
  13. Terrible indeed, I can't imagine similar scenario on a closed up island. Some areas were completely destroyed, ash and bones. I was just passing by yesterday on my way from Vancouver and thought that I would share this carnage. There was still an active fire burning somewhere in the mountains and helicopters everywhere. Just so unsettlingly sad.
  14. Harvey is a very proud USAF vet . He use to load gifts for commies when it mattered, once upon a time in Vietnam
  15. Smart idea, doesn’t take anything from your fine hand brushing abilities.
