  1. Must be Balloon season, or something
  2. As always, top notch work Jeroen. Looks like a giant cat was trying to change the spare on that car and left some furry message behind Once again, super inventive display with mega realistic detail. Bravo! Cheers M.
  3. Absolutely stunning weathering and detail, museum quality. Sasha, did you use pencils for the chipping, or is it brush painted? Cheers Martin
  4. Oh no, did you manage to take some pictures Carl ?
  5. And then, there are people like Takuji Yamada.
  6. Smart move indeed.
  7. Indeed. Yet, It is doable and fun. For freaks like me, more fun that Tamiya.
  8. Did I mention the leading edge ?
  9. It’s a good price for mediocre kit. In past few ours I was playing with the shape of the nose. Fabricating windows. Still, there’s a higher chance I finish this then the Uber kit from Japan .
  10. That you guys. This arrived today. Wast improvement over the rubber ones from the kit. What amazes me is the fact that ResKit from Ukraine is despite the horrific Soviet invasion able to run business efficiently. God bless all Ukrainians in their fight for freedom.
  11. Mossie for $100
  12. Migraine camouflage is the winner. Looking good Phil.
  13. Thats what I was thinking as well, few layers of dust and It will have the proper AVG look , I like it
  14. In terms of camouflage I was aiming for the Camel caravan to Berlin, but then diverting into this particular airplane that I bumped into thanks to Dana Bell . Or this guy , also at Fort Benning, GA one more in colours
  15. Some more sanding and putting from last night. The nice touch are the rivet lines. Although shallow and not exactly correct, still Giving the surface a busy look. I know the real thing has rivets like a choo-choo train, but we won’t talk about that now.
  16. Thank you Ernie. Quick boost took care of the cowlings and rudder. I was contemplating getting the old Monogram kit and use it as a parts mule, but this will work.
  17. I had this kit on my desk for a few weeks now, slowly studying blueprints and pictures of the real C-47, realizing that what was in the box is based on a licence-built Soviet version of DC-3 called Lisunov Li-2. Many of them were flying in China as long as the mid-eighties . That comes with his own bag of challenges. First and the most glaring difference are the engine cowlings, together with slightly different nacelles . Then there is this odd application of metal surface on rudder and ailerons . Than the interior. A mixture of dc-3 and C-47 layout. Well that I decided to leave as is and pretend it never happened. enough of this dark intro. This is where I stand as of now. Main wing went together without problems Radio-operator's window I had to made out of clear sprue, since I damaged the original part A really dirty interior job. Christmas lights for the win. Just because I can LOL Polishing away not exactly flawless fit Simulated fabric surface with rotary tool and sandpaper First layer of putty Scribing
  18. This just arrived.
  19. Yes, surely we have to take to consideration the artistic licence. But that's the fun of it, I think. Here is another diorama, that might not be the most historically correct, but amazing in its execution and detail.
  20. ...and then becomes an entry in the Get it Wet GB .... That base looked so promising, sorry it didn't work out. I am positive that the second one will fill the bill. Tree-making is truly a form of art, can't wait to see how it all falls together . Cheers M.
