Sorry for the off-topic content. There is a problem with the side intakes that are not suitable for D version. EDIT: not to cause confusion, I was talking about the cooling scoops on the side of the fuselage. The once provided in the kit were used from the badge 53**** onward so basically at the end. The NACA side intake shape was more common. -

I believe the main thing is not to use snow material in it's pure white form, that is not natural. The rest would be texturing and light conditions. my 2c

One note. Check out, amongst another details, the different engine cowling shape, Trumpeter/HobbyBoss kits have exactly the same shape on they DC-3/C47 kits (1/48,1/72) . The reason for that is most likely that they used as an example the Chinese copy of LI-2.
