Dragon Tiger 1 w/zimmerit next up!
[CAT]CplSlade replied to JohnB's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
As you might can tell, I went with scheme #4. I built it OOB as suits my lazy approach to modelling, but I added some metal supports for the tracks on the forward superstructure. -
Trump, nor any U.S. President, has much to say about oil pricing. That is largely determined by the world demand and what OPEC desires.

Dragon Tiger 1 w/zimmerit next up!

It'll look kind of like this when done: -
As an educator, I have many theories on why education in the U.S. is spinning down the shitter. There is a purpose behind it, and it's in no one's best interest. Also, what the hell is 'summer fuel'? That positively swims in a greasy sauce of bullshit.

Um, that would be me.

Some new info on the events surrounding the capture of the infamous Tiger I:

When I was still doing PC repair, my customers on AT&T/Bellsouth were always having issues. The ONLY reason I switched to them was my Verizon/Comcast bill was getting ugly. Should have gone with Sprint; couldn't have been much worse.

So far those of us chiming in with difficulties seem to be from the southern half of the U.S. We've had a spate of bad weather recently; high winds with tornado warnings and tree downage. I am also a thrall in the service of the evil Telecom Lord, Ayt'n't. But even so, that stuff is supposed to reroute itself if any network interruptions occur due to broken cable. If we are all on AT&T, then that is our answer. That or contrails, I don't know.

What version are you running, and if it is 10 is it tied to an email account or simply showing as activated with a key code?

I was having issues this past week as well, even though the test sites said it was up. No idea what changed but I could not access the forum from neither phone nor desktop.

Blue screen usually displays an error code at least.

takom 1/35 Panther Ausf. A Early Production, full interior
[CAT]CplSlade replied to James H's topic in Armour/AFV Reviews
If you're talking about the various pieces of metal gear attached to the interior like the exhaust fan housing, those were usually painted with a black enamel to protect from corrosion. Items made of other materials like rubber tubing or cloth and leather would have the usual range of colors for those things. -
This is a very nice piece. I built the same but I only used the PE in the kit. In answer to Gaz, they were hard rubber, which leads to the one missing detail: the tires would get pretty rough after a while as bits and chunks of rubber got worn away.

I had an uncle-in-law who worked for Morton-Thiokol when the Challenger blew and I used to give him crap about the explosion all the time, even though I knew it was NASA's decision to launch.

[CAT]CplSlade replied to Clunkmeister's topic in Modelling Discussion
It's 109ace from LSP who is making these. -
Your post seems to indicate it is... Don't worry, though. Just picture the last place you would ever look for it and go straight there.

My Liberator finally finished its journey from Poland yesterday. Only two and a half months.

If not, Ocasio-Cortez will attempt to shift the U.S. to full socialism and then we'll love whatever we get. -
Never did the DNA thing as I am not keen on giving corporations more than they need to know. However, paternal granddad did some digging around years ago and got that part of the family to the Virginia colony in the early 1700's, with our part branching off the part that would become the political Bushes around that time. Yes, I am related to that family. I only get back to the late 1880's on my mom's side. German, Irish, French in my background for certain.

And the old Revell prescribed to frustrate them.

T30/34 (U.S. Heavy Tank) 1:35 TAKOM
[CAT]CplSlade replied to Daniel_Roxy's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
I like your table cloth. Do you like the link'n'length tracks or would you have preferred all individual links? They certainly save time and aren't as tedious but for German tanks you lose the ability to set your own sag -- and all I build is German. I've only built Takom's 12.8cm twin flak gun, which was an early kit with some fit issues but I have a couple of tanks in the stash that are more recent. How is this kit comparing to other brands you may have built if you are able to rate it yet? -
I must be crazy, B-24J on the bench.

But dude, you're Bomber_County! Surely you have more than one in you.
