PZL P.11c - Polish Fighter - IBG - 1/32
GazzaS replied to DocRob's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Excellent job, Rob! Not sure how the color looks like on your end, but things will look more brown if you put it on a grassy base or something. -
Thank you, Phil! Kent, nice to hear from you again. It's been a while. I'll be looking forward perhaps to seeing some of your work on it. I haven't delved in too deep as I've had other projects going. I'm completely talent less when it comes to riveting. Just can't make a straight line. I can use Dymo tape, or a metal straight edge... but my riveter or scriber will always find a way to drift away. I can;t imagine trying to rivet over my CA repairs. Anyway... great to see you, mate.

Rob, I really like the way the modulation plays out in the corrugated areas. Perhaps your next build should be Tante Ju. -
Nice work, Peter! These Tamiya Corsairs are definitely not shake and bake.

Nice looking engine. Kudos on that rusty manifold.

Lots of great comments from the crew I can only echo. -
Thank you, Fellas!

Thank you, Rob. They definitely make you put in more time and effort. Getting close to the stage where I need to fit the figures.

HI Friends! I decided to caption the photos with the photo editor... I think it makes the process a little faster than trying to remember what each photo means an hour after taking them. Thanks for looking!

The Trumpy kit shouldn't be too bad if he's not a rivet counter. I sold my last one for the cost of postage as the kit was rivetted by the Mad-Rivetter of Shanghai. Lotsa 1/48 kits around.... just avoid the Kittyhawk one. I've read that it's a disaster.

Quick progress, Rob! I'll be interested in seeing your painting method. I've never actually painted with oils. Just weathered over acrylic or lacquer. -

DALE CLEARY'S MODEL AUCTION.(aka Sir Desmond Glazebrook).
GazzaS replied to MARU 5137's topic in General Discussion
I'm guessing his family had no idea who to trust other than an auctioneer. I don't know if Dale nominated a friend to take care of his models for his family. It's something we all should do. I'm 55 but haven't done it, yet. I have club members who are friends.... but I don't really have a close friend who I feel I could give the burden. We've mentioned it at club meetings... but I haven't taken anyone's details to leave to my family. -
Well, that P&W engine looks excellent! I'd never build one wings up unless I had too many... they just look too nice ready to fly.

Good start, John! Looking sharp! -
Rob, it would be sweet if ICM offered one. Certainly more interesting than a Falco. ICM are quite bold when it comes to molding fine shapes. But they aren't much for other niceties such as PE. Even if Roden did make one, I doubt it would be of this quality. They've showed us with the recent SPAD release that they have no interest in improving their product.
