Some places got the 'sticky pipe tape' Mostly kitchen and chocolate bar foil. for some of the access hatches I'm using BMF because it has a slightly different tint. -

Looks great, Paul! -
I tend to go for underdogs instead of teams that keep winning all of the time. I have been watching the Bucs a lot more than I ever watched New England. I like Tom Brady because he is just fun to watch. I really don't want Philli to win... Nundamekong Suh... who used to play for the Lions, stomped on a couple Green Bay players, doesn't deserve a second ring.

Very sharp work on those interiors, Sasha. -
Wow... that's horrible. I hope my Seydlitz isn't so bad. I have a monster detail set for it.

Welcome to the forum! I had no idea the USN had one... so it should be interesting to say the least.

Welcome to the forum! Looking forward to watching this build progress. -
There is really only one story worth following if your favorite team is out: A. Mahomes again... blah! B. Bengals... Ohio... who cares. Besides, they were in it last year... and lost. C. Philadelphia... They won a few years ago. Time for somebody else. D. Can Mr. Irrelevant, the last man taken in the 2022 NFL Draft lead his team to win the Superbowl. Yes... Brock Purdy. If San Francisco wins, it will be a great story. Option D is the only one that holds any interest.

I'm sorry for your loss. It's a damn shame that our pets can't live longer.

Welcome back. Work continues though at a sluggish pace while work and laziness combine to take up too much time. I spent a lot of time filling, filing, and sanding to get all of the hull pieces into a nice, seamless condition. Even the scallops at the bow required filling and shaping to get them right. Those scallops have always been one of those cool shapes that make the German S-Boat more attractive than the rest. But I'm still not happy with it and have ordered some half-round rod. See the narrow strake under the blue arrow? There should be one that goes around the rest side of the vessel on the gunwhale (between the two red arrows). While I was wrestling the deck onto the hull, the fit was rather ambiguous, and I may have sanded off too much. I added some strake behind the scallops (left-pointing arrow), using square Evergreen strips, but then realized it still looked wrong. So, instead of using more square stock and ending up with an uneven looking strake, I'll replace it with half-round. I'll do that to the bow strakes as well. TBH, the fender just below the line of portholes should come all of the way to the bow. But it's just a problem I don't want to wrestle with them. The gray on the hull looked lighter in the bottle... So, I'll be using that color as a base for further modulation. I don't even know if any of the major paint manufacturers make Kriegsmarine colors. Fricking spell check... I get curious and see what spell check thinks a word should be. For "Kriegsmarine" spell-check wanted to put in Margarine. And the Cherry Ripe? Australian Candy. Imagine a Mounds bar with cherry flavored coconut. Very nice.

That looks awesome, Rob. One thing I hate to bend so far is ladders. They actually sent a build to the SOD. But I just saw a video the other day on how to do it. So, hopefully I can get my Marinenmojo back on.

Criminy, you're fast! Not as fast as I would be in an aircraft... but fast with the models. Well done, Guy. Great looking build!
