GazzaS replied to KevinM's topic in Modelling Discussion
That's pretty awesome... wonder if she can make me a 1/72 scale humpback whale? -
GWH Hawk 81C AVG decals. 02/18/23
GazzaS replied to Clunkmeister's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
Love the B and C... don't care much for the rest of them. When they cut down the rear fuselage, it didn't look as good. P-39 is a nice looking plane, too. Too bad I hear nothing but bad about the 1/32 offering. -

I sold mine for the cost of postage to Western Australia. Never even heard of Craftworks. -

Nice work!

Glad they shot it down. I wonder how much intel it gathered. They waited for it to reach the Atlantic first, I'm guessing so that there's no collateral damage.

Weakening the plastic with extra thin will just exacerbate the problem. You have to relieve the pressure or build up the area strong enough to resist the pressure.

Wow, it looks great, but a bad case of capillary action. That extra thin CA... I used it on a diorama to hold rocks in place... but in ran everywhere. Truly dangerous stuff. I've started to add a little regular CA to it at times to slow it down.

Well, my half-round tube arrived a on the previous Friday and I quickly installed it. Since then I've been more in a foiling mood than a building mood. But here are pics, anyway. I don't know how well it will show under paint. So I figured I'd take a couple without.

Wow, Kevin, you're smashing it! Great work!

Nice choice, Kevin! All SS divisions have names. 1st SS began it;s life as AH's bodyguards. 2nd SS Das Reich 'The Empire' 3rd Totenkopf 'death's head' 4th Polizei 'police' And on and on... Many with names that reflect on a locality connection, or some figure from the past.

Devil 505 - "Feet wet", Trumpeter A-6A
GazzaS replied to Winnie's topic in Let’s Get Wet Group Build.
When I was a new Marine stationed temporarily at El Toro, the A-6's were flying around, doing touch-and-gos, and all of that other stuff. And one thing that struck me, was that while they were banking with the forward flaps deployed, how very red the primer colored areas looked. Really stunning with the solid gray color. -
Wow, Peter! That is stunning! I've really been remiss in attending this page of the forums. Great work!

Nice progress!

Oh, now I'm seriously curious. I hope I live up to your expectations.

Yes, America is being beset by balloons from the Orient. Apparently this balloon can be maneuvered by the Chinese who sent it here. It's already over Montana.

LSM Modelling News 2023 merged Fran and Artful69’s threads
GazzaS replied to Fran's topic in Modelling Discussion
Me too. They didn't all fight in Olive Drab. It's a great potential foiling candidate. -
Rob, You've been making amazing progress. I'm impressed by the difference you've made in just a few days. Flying bridges and those other gravity defying parts are all so much trouble. You've really done well.

Italeri 1/35 Elco 80' Torpedo Boat PT-596
GazzaS replied to Bomber_County's topic in Let’s Get Wet Group Build.
Don't feel bad, Phil. Sometimes I need to shoot someone on XBox when I should be modelling. Current game of interest is Isonzo where Carcanos and Mannlichers rule. ...and my lawn is looking really shabby... ...and my club meet is today.... ...etc... -

I'm just glad that we got a alternative to the Trumpeter trash. Keep up the good work. -

Glad to see more pictures, Guy, Really nice job. -
Well done Guy. My eye believes it's a peace time tank that has been out and caught a little dust and dirt. Good job for a few day's work. What's next?
