Looks great Peter. Nice sharp and clean demarcation in the camo scheme. -

Hopefully it wasn't used. -

Got a case of the squirrels (is that a thing?) this afternoon. I grabbed a Mako Shark to try and make it go away. Had some fun figuring out fit issues but might just keep going. -
Wow... Nice fix too on the canopy markings.

I hear bells a’ringing! Coming up to that time of year

We do an outdoor tree so we're just waiting for the Christmas tree vendor to set up and start selling them to buy one. -
Still better than mine!

I've got three compressors under my bench. One has a leak and needs to be fixed. The original replacement for it just didn't have the power/capacity so it was swapped out for the third one. So far so good. I'm hoping I can find someone to fix the first one though.

Gunze makes a tool specifically for removing stuck paint bottle lids. It works on Mr Color( both acrylic and lacquer), Tamiya and AK bottles. I have it and it has proven very handy. I'll grab a pic when I get home.

Lots of masking tape there Peter. I take the same approach, outline the area in thin tape then fill it in with thicker bits. -
I don't know about those canopy details. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have to check them out.

That's a lot of wheels. Nice technique to get rid of the seams. -

Nice fix and I think we've all done something similar especially when we know better. -
Great weathering and overall paint work.

Thanks for sharing the pics. Lots of great looking models. That aerobatics team display looks truly impressive.

Sorry to hear that Gus. He'll certainly be missed, like all our pets are.

Land Rover Defender 110 from Spectre
BlrwestSiR replied to BlrwestSiR's topic in LSM 1/35 and Larger Work In Progress
The complete lack of instructions has made things fun. Mostly figuring out what kit parts to use and where to make mods to them. I decided to check the fit of the floorpan. First thing I noticed was the huge Revell logo on the bottom. That had to go. I used my Tamiya razor saw and it was a quick swipe to remove it. Test fitting it with the chassis, I noticed some interference at the last cross member. So this has been sanded down and notched to fit. The inner fenders needed a couple holes cut in it to make space for the new strut towers. May cap them with a piece of sheet styrene so I don't have the huge hole in the fender -

Thankfully I won't be going for 100% accuracy. Wouldn't have much of a kit left. -

This one is coming along nicely. Nice to see all the earlier prep work is paying off. -
Amazing paint and stencil work.

That seems to fit dimensionally. I heard George Lucas used the interior for that famous shot from Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Nice couple of cars Ernie. With the pickups you also have, just how big is that garage of yours?

I'm colour blind and I can definitely see the brown in that. -

Nice! Who made the masks again? I've got ones by Galaxy Models for the Tamiya 1/48 kit.
