The deck is now glued in markings placed the Trumpter swastikas were 1/32" basically I made these @ 1/16" 2x wider and they still look just a tad thin??The base is well on it's way to to getting finished the SS's are not glued ATTM everything can still come apart.The plexiglas comes in next week for me to cut and assemble hoping all goes well there.The crane is finished for one side now just need to rig the other I did have to add a roller not included to get close to the original design. Swastikas going out 3/32" another .030"

Not a big update but small tedious update to the cranes.Trumpter did not have anything for crane operator to work from so I fabricated it from some 1/350 PE and some crank handles from the search lights in 1/200 for the steering wheels.All I need to do now is paint and rig the cables.

I have kind of committed to the Kreigsmarine Padauk wood and IJN get Sapele for their base.I called by glass company yesterday to see about getting a cover made out of plexiglas and they said no.I went and looked on YT and it really looks easy already have Weld#4 inbound just need to hit the glass shop up now.

This has been my diversion from the Scharnhorst a Tamyia Flak 88 and a turd of a kit Bloch 174 Heller/rebox by Buzco of California how old is this??I was probably 10years old I bet when it came out.I just could not throw it away I almost did this morning when decals went sound Duh Kevin it's 50years old maybe.I digress sprayed them and made it happen what was suppose to be a relaxing build..well it wasn't.I still need to touch up the L/rudder with some paint decals..decals.The 88 is to get me more in favor to weathering Dio maybe not any time soon the Scharnhorst is calling me back. PS: one thing the turd taught me like Ernie mentions how to mask a canopy again!

The wood is on it way to being finished put an oil finish on it I get locally delivered in from Vicksburg MS stuff is really good.I give this some time to dry out maybe another coat either way once dry then goes the varnish and once hard polish it out with steel wool and lastly a fine automotive polish for paint.

OK Rob once you get all sorted out it's time to put "The Patient" back together sounds like a surgery room get organized ,parts in box in order sequence good thing it's not on my table might come out like something you see on "The Munsters"

I'll look in Rob more for different materials being used than anything plus it's a handsome looking bike.

Just about there Kriss looking good so far.I am building up a little 1/72 also poor quality kit I must say a rebox from Heller way back in the day of a French Potez.I am surprised if has not landed in the trash can yet.

You going to spice up some panels John?Will be a stunner either way. I have often thought John one could change some of the panels after the black base to a smooth grey primer/paint(buff) and spray with one color and see if the tone changes?

I am thinking it's getting time to rebarrel I need to drop a scope back on her to find out.I say 5/7 years ago I could still hit the 18"X18" plate @350yds open sights and just orange colored glasses 4 out of 5 shots.The last range visit was having an issue keeping a 2" group at 100yds use to be 1.25/1.5" could be the ole eyes now 63. The other BM-59 I had was #00186 sold to a fella on a LEO forum in Quantico $1700 $1500(2007) maybe 15 years ago now it's probably worth 3.2K/3.7K
