  3. Their are issues with the decals most will not notice some areas like the "Flying Dutchman" I should of opted for painting?I call it a conspiracy by Trumpter but she will look the part.I may explain the issues if my fingers can type that long one you see with the WW door!
  4. Well Guys talk about a load of crap come the decals the decal placement by guide is wrong the box art is correct It's going to look nice and pretty but not accurate by any frigg'in means F@#%'in Trumpter.I had to go and recheck against the "Flying Dutchman" I just keep going I will post more on Wednesday with some pics and explanations if I can type that long Ernie is there room for company in your corner?
  5. Hard to come by anymore..........https://ipmsusa.org/reviews/Products/snj_starter_kit/snj_starter_kit.htm Now what I am using is the powder in a small jar up front.
  6. Still got about 20 or so bottles no silver but yea Ernie excellent paints and last forever like the old Humbrol. As far as the SNJ's Ernie go steal from the crime lab at you local PD from what I understand it's what they use for fingerprints.
  7. The red has been applied and the last of the panels.I paid attention to the fillets for the wing/tail and hatches only with the SNJ.I use the Testors pin point brushes(rd fur ball) to apply the SNJ then buff with a regular q-tip and the last stage I use the Tamyia pointed q-tip to bring to a higher luster and touch the borders(paint in the lines) it is very subtle but I like the effect. The other thing if you do paint outside the lines a new point q-tip and wa-la it's gone.
  8. Thks Ernie I binned this one myself for the engine didn't fit worth a hute I said F the engine and the gun bays. Like Peter said in another thread sometimes interior BS you will never see is a waste I am getting there, going for aesthetics here.
  9. I used some SNJ on the F-86 on small panels right before the clear this is called playtime.
  10. Got to be like glass to the touch Phil smooth smooth.
  11. Once it gets pieced together Gary all will be good to go.
  12. Well took it as far as I can go for today anything I felt gun related was Alclad AL101 so the doors, gunports and a panel for the chutes underneath very subtle. The flaps were all done in Dull AL. and the exhaust was MM Magnesium.I hope to get the spinner and front of the fuse tomorrow in Red.
  13. Thanks Harv got some Alclad Semi-Flat Silver now to move onto some panels here and there.
  14. I tried some 6000 and it was smoothing it out.
  15. Black base a little pebbly but I buffed the l/wing some will be fine need to let it dry better.Got the gear built.
  16. I am not going to worry about them Peter they are quite subtle on this one.
  17. The tailplanes were wrong I am trying to get her primed today wing fit pretty good.
  18. The yellow air brush or hand like the last build?either way looks great.
  19. A lot of these old kits can build up into a nice representation looking good thus far.
  20. Nice work thus far that's one plane I have not built yet any scale.
