  1. Just catching up, this is superlative work Rob. Almost a shame to bury that gorgeous cockpit in the fuse.
  2. Great and natural looking ageing on the petrol tanks , one of those parts you know got battered everytime someone went near them with a jerry can .
  3. A good save before the paint started going on there Scott .
  4. Paint or pencil ? I found prismatic pencils and / or thin sharpies were handy for walkway lines and a lot less bovver than masking , but then maybe I'm just lazy . Neat how they go under the ducting .
  5. What scale is he in ? 1/32 or 1/35 ?
  6. tough growing up in the 40's.......
  7. I would suspect it's your settings as I haven't changed how I host or post the pix .

  9. Clutching at straws thinking I can teach anything lol , that's kind though 😀 There are not pictures in every post. ......the most recent post had this pic - can you see this one?
  10. Fanks It's titled "Courtney's Love " U Boat optional .........
  11. Has she been forgotten ?
  12. That is a pretty awesome build !
  13. Ok squirrelling sideways .... Foam is cut with a hot wire cutter, sanded smoother by a DA sander to get some swells into it . Then the fun starts. For this you need Liquitex gloss medium And also for some micro texture , use it to glue some kitchen roll over the surface, this sounds nutz but trust me , oh and you can obviously mix paint into the medium , I'm just covering with colour at this point See that mostly flat but rippled ? Thats where we are headed And so we reach here - all the white is hidden under a layer of unfeasably blue . Now I need to paint the surface colours appropriately , and fix correct waves ...then about 10 layers of medium to build up the sea gloss. If you get brush marks ....sponge them out , as any straight line is clearly a no no . Zats all for now folks ......
  14. Flogger .....built the Airfix 1/72 back when it came out (1980) this looks 40 years in advance. Sadly one engine means I can't 'twin build' it unlike the ol' Tomcat or MRCA FUN FACT - Back in the 70's MRCA ( Tornado) was jokingly referred to as Must Replace Canberra Again ...following the TSR2 cancellation and the F111 purchase failure . Odd how two English Electric products seem to have lasted far beyond their expected lifespans 🙄
  15. A black flory wash often makes NMF pop in my opinion , gives it a real grimy look . Just a thought
  16. That canopy is shocking , also concur the solution is probably build it up with styrene and sand it back .
  17. Great IP Peter , you've far more patience & skill than me at this scale . 👍
