  1. Got to love a good old K-Whopper . 👍 I found myself over Covid watching a lot of Canadians doing these up for some reason . This guy likes making movie star trucks , this one is from the film "High Ballin"
  2. Exquisite work Rob , no way on earth I would have tackled making that kit of Arizona ,it looked a terrible starting point , but such a great ending .
  3. I love the diversity of your builds , different scales subject and approaches, like them all but that Tomcat is abso-freeking-lukly awesome .
  4. I like HB armour having built a couplethey are very generous with the parts count and options . Mouldings and fit were good too . Should be a good build
  5. more Pfalzing .. Cheer up Eugen ....
  6. I had the Trumpy 37mm version .....but .....four parts to a track link .....200 links a side .....no metal AM available .....got "sold unmade" 🫠 Good Luck !
  7. Been using it today ,level of control at low flow and low air is outstanding , but that is comparing it to lessor airbrushes like an IWATA Neo / Gaahleri 39 , which are half the price . I'm loving the atomisation , having done nothing different with the usual Tamiya paint.
  8. Best kit or best release ? No Airfix fan me, but they walloped it out with the 1/48 Sea King , Bucc, and Gannet this year. Haven't bought any of them yet but will get around to it as a FAA enthusiast . Need a nice Jaguar next.
  9. Amazeballs on the squid eyeballs !!!!!😄 On my bench a little little Pfalz ...
  10. New airbrush ....Harder & Steenback Infinity CR plus 0.15 / 0.4 needles . Treated myself....the finish is gorgeous .
  11. A 1/35 outhouse inthe making for a Jurrasic Park dio ?
  12. Beautiful work . 1/72 has come a long way from the kits of the 1970s
  13. Nice collection Pete ,
  14. Thanks Kevin ...I may treat myself in the New Year . EDIT ...nope just bought both of them ...ach well .😳
  15. Hello are there any good reference books you might recommend? I’ve an old book about their history but it only has a few pix .
  16. Couldn't work out where best to put this , so please move if appropriate. I'll be away for a while and won't complete anything more this year , so thought this would be the time to post. This year was a good year for me , 11 tanks / vehicles , 1 ship , 9 aircraft inc 2 biplanes, 6 dioramas and 19 figures. Sales were good too , with three going to the US, two to France ( same customer which is always nice ) a bunch of cold war stuff to a collector near me , two to a guy in the UK and also sold off some older 1/48 build cheap to clear space. Net sum loss for models bought vs sold this year was £14 ....what a cheap hobby. Stuff I learnt :- Three 1/48 dioramas .....yes -I liked these , nice working smaller than the trad 1/35 , although less choice of model ....reckon more of these in '24 Biplanes, loved the Glad not so the Camel , but might do some more as I feel it's an itch to be scratched . I do really hate 1/72. I must stop being tempted by nostalgia 🥱 Late night wine fuelled purchases are ...dodgy..... but was happy with the Grant in the end ....and OPR "Oil Paint Rendering" as taught by Mike at Rinaldi Studios is for me a game changer , thank you to Nick Mayhew for making me aware of it . Go check it out and then throw all your "weathering products" in the bin ! Anyhow on with the show :- Laterz PW
  17. Pete - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dettol Dettol is a general purpose antisceptic . If the MDA approve it for bathing in and dressing wounds I think we can assume it's non toxic. Sadly you septics don't get it in your market . 🤣 FYI it has a very distinctive smell , any child of the 1970's will recognise.
  18. If you can get good old fashioned Detol -that is a safe non fume acrylic paint remover . Just coat and leave in a plastic bag for 24 hours. The smell afterward is slightly odd , but goes once you re prime .
  19. Bad parenting ?
