  1. Flipping heck thats a bit crazy . It ranover your foot ?😳 bit more than painful im sure
  2. Life too short for clay barring anything ..really nice pony car though πŸ‘ We have have very few decent classic cars in the UK beyond "classic English sports car" , which is fine if you're ok with a small rusty car and a 100 BHP engine . I look at what corvettes go for in the States and weep , same money here buys really mediocre stuff . Some of the Jags are fun , but most stuff is well beyond the average Jo's budget . Mind you our government is obsessed with getting older cars off the the road for some goddam reason . My wife lived in Mass in the 1990's and used to run old beaters, her favourite being a 4th gen Mercury Cougar she bought for $300 and ran through two winters .
  3. Following this build with interest - The other decal option for this one is 263 Sdn...which fits in with my interests in RAF Harrowbeer in Devon . I'm slowly building aircraft that served on the (now deserted) airfield I used to visit as a child and where I learnt to drive. I might cheat and go with the bugle outfit rather than tackle this one . 🫣
  4. The thin end of the wedge ......rivetter ......I make armour ...dioramas ....not aircraft .....to much Koolaid
  5. Maun Parallel pliers ....Β£30 .....made in the UK ! Came across them on some vidya , grip better than regular pliers, very useful for straightening wire, copper sheet , no jaw marks etc , and big in the jewellery making community so I thought , why not give 'em a go?
  6. Make an interesting diorama that .....
  7. Thats great news !
  8. I love your work Shadowmare , that Corsair was cracking this is absolutely spot on . Your faded paint / weathering / "grunging" is superb. Please keep posting your builds. PW
  9. A series of long films matching WW2 pics to now , fascinating , plus ...Handel . . He's been quiet of late , but if you've not come across it before ...
  10. The person responsible should be plugged into 240V & 65Amps.....feckin eejit. If he needed to "signal" he should buy one of those nice Chinese EV made by children in factories with no windows and that doesn't appear on Google earth .
  11. Yup ..I ride....& I was looking very closely , thought you were palming off a 1:1 as a model . ....that paint job is immaculate and really nails the Blackbird, those exhaust look spot on as well . Great job Wolf
  12. Very common name that πŸ˜€
  13. It's not on their website ....my guess.....hypy- hype mc hype. ... Discontinue it for 6 months , bring it back at a hiked price assuming those who can't live without will rush to buy ....rinse and repeat. They have the gall to charge Β£50 - Β£60 for a 50 year old tooling Spitfire/ Hurricane....my guess they will be still dragging out the Hellcat tooling in 2068... Their pricing far outmatches their product IMHO, even though I'm the target market. Be interesting to see 20 years from now , when the "nostalgic for 1970's" crew have packed in modelling if the younger generation will still be interested in Aiflups , or if Dragon will be releasing vintage classics .
  14. Or cut off the individual teeth on the inner sprocket where they are covered by the track so it fits and you don't see misfit . Done that trick before !
  15. Thats poor of Hobby boss - you can shim it perhaps ?
  16. I blame "Bleeping Jeep" for building this purple thang ...great drive, drank like an alcoholic at a free bar . Nice IL6 engine
  17. I tend towards Fruilmodel from CZ though they announced this summer they are shutting down . You can still find their stuff on eBay eg Just an example
  18. YouTube - vice grip garage / mustie/ real car reviews etc will soon get you up to speed with American car kultur & fox bodies mustangs are a bit marmite in my opinion …..just to work a UKism in there πŸ˜„
  19. Lovely old ship the Rusty B . This is me on the starboard side of theisland as she steamed into Pompey for the last time 27th March 1981 πŸ˜€
  20. Found rather than got in the post. Amongst my fathers papers... some large photographs that he used to get for me whilst on board from the PR office. These all date from his time on Bulwark R08 , '71-71 and '79-81. Nice references for when I get around to both my Wessex and ( yes I guess I'll have to buy oneπŸ™„ ) Airfix Sea King. The Airfix release is for a different aircraft in the same 826 squadron earlier when they were on Eagle , this pic from 1980 when they were briefly on Bulwark , but only a few masks away from this one .
  21. 999 is a place holder I'm guessing as it is the price of everything . Even though it got a bad rep I'd like a GR1 Jag , as the only other option is the Heller/Airflup one , which I've built and is ancient .
  22. Have you seen a Chinese firm has apparently taken over the KH moulds ? Zimi Model
  23. Curious , the AFV club Centurion provides a real metal spring for the suspension units, I see Hobbyboss doesn't. TBH it's makes little difference on the AFV club one other than a very limited movement. Tamiya's old MK3 clunker had it all as one moulded lump . Are you using the plastic individual tracks or going metal ? Personally find the metal tracks a lot easier to work with than glueing single links together. +1 for Scotchbright - absolutely great for removing the odd glue fingerprint as well I find πŸ˜€
  24. πŸ‘ It looks simple enough , but then it is just a stick with wings IRL . Might throw a resin seat at it to cheer it up a bit . Last 104 I did was a Revell 1980's 1/32 a long time ago . That one had 8 ...maybe 10 parts from memory.
