Kaireckstadt
In addition to the other accessories I already presented to you I today want to show you my Lancaster-Crew for my Dambuster-diorama. Took 6 weeks to assemble and paint all the figures. I meanwhile corrected the belt buckle color to silver (see last photo) . 7

FME erk
Kai First thing . . . Bloody marvellous I too have this set and will probably be the last thing that gets painted. Patience's is indeed the requirement to get these young fellas looking the part. The two pigeon boxes are Yellow as clearly seen in the authentic shot with the airmen carrying two under his arms . . . I am hoping to take them from their base and peg them into drilled holes in the base board Great job and perfect for the diorama Ian
DocRob
Wow, great result with the subtle figure painting. The figures with their individual poses looking great, enhanced by your fine brushwork. Cheers Rob

I was a little bit disappointed of the figures because some rework (blowholes) had to be done and the casting quality was not that good taking into account the high price (e.g. compared to Ultracast-Figures). Since there is no instruction sheet included and the bags and parachutes came in one plastic-bag it wasn’t easy to find out which bag belongs to which figure. Also some heads were reversed in the bags for the figures. So it took some time to align everything. The photo on the box is only partly helpful. You also have to add all handles from sheet or tape and adapt them. And the caps have to be reworked to fit to the hands carrying them. Finally no painting instructions are included. I had to search for color-photos in the net (which I enclosed here). Thank you also for the advice with the color of the pigeon-boxes. I will change this to yellow. If you need any assistance regarding the allocation of the parts to each figure feel free to ask me. Cheers Kai

After these 10 I will make a pause from assembling and painting figures. I need some aircraft-parts in my hands now...
FME erk
Out of interest, are the ground crew figures from the German tank crew sets ? I have a couple of them already, seen repairing my damaged Lancaster, as there are VERY few RAF ground bods Ian

The pilot and flight-engineer of my Lanc are also from an ICM Set in 1/32. These figures are die-cast and of superb quality! I‘ve enclosed 2 photos of the box arts. Old Dog
Very nicely done They don't appear to be a very happy lot but I guess before a mission like that they wouldn't be.

Thanks for your feedback! I also realized this when painting the figures. You‘re right, they all don‘t look very happy. Maybe the sculpturer had the same thought that you had too. I think I would’ve looked the same way if I had to leave for such a suicide-mission as the Dambuster-Mission.
