So ugly that it's unable to fly.

Instead, the Earth itself simply rejects it and pushes it away

Fun fact: it's actually the paint job that keeps it in the air. The optimism depicted in the flying bird allows it to defy gravity and get off the ground. :D

Thanks Frank

Always loved the PC-6 as I'm a taildrager pilot at heart. I've seen a few out at the airport over the years and she sure gives a show at takeoff if the pilot feels like showing off a bit.

Keep 'em comin

That's a really colorful bird Peter, where the warpaint is covering the strange shape of the plane hopefully :D. My son did his first parachute jump out of this one, so it's kind of down memory lane for me.

Cheers Rob

No kidding.  I did my flying surrounded by the limes of Beavers, Otters, Twin Otters, Caribou, and Buffalo, and I thought I knew STOL.
Then I saw a PC-6 takeoff and it made the Twotter look like a slouch.  It’s all about big power, high lift, and density altitude.  Lightly loaded helps too. 😃
