Peterpools
This is my entry for our GB. I just ordered the kit; Roden PC-6. Should be pretty cool. It's a classic bush plane with extraordinary talents Keep 'em comin Peter

Administrators Clunkmeister Posted March 8, 2022 Administrators Share Posted March 8, 2022 So ugly that it's unable to fly. Instead, the Earth itself simply rejects it and pushes it away 1

Instead, the Earth itself simply rejects it and pushes it away Fun fact: it's actually the paint job that keeps it in the air. The optimism depicted in the flying bird allows it to defy gravity and get off the ground. 1
Peterpools
Thanks Martin Going to be fun and I hope the decals are good as the kit is around ten years old. Keep 'em comin Peter
Peterpools
Thanks Frank Always loved the PC-6 as I'm a taildrager pilot at heart. I've seen a few out at the airport over the years and she sure gives a show at takeoff if the pilot feels like showing off a bit. DocRob
That's a really colorful bird Peter, where the warpaint is covering the strange shape of the plane hopefully . My son did his first parachute jump out of this one, so it's kind of down memory lane for me. Cheers Rob

Peterpools
Rob So your son does Sky diving - way to intense for me but in my book, what an accomplishment. . I spent many years flying and for a pilot, staying in the plane is the natural order of things. Keep 'em comin Peter 3

I did my flying surrounded by the limes of Beavers, Otters, Twin Otters, Caribou, and Buffalo, and I thought I knew STOL. Then I saw a PC-6 takeoff and it made the Twotter look like a slouch. It’s all about big power, high lift, and density altitude. Lightly loaded helps too. 😃
