Peterpools Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 This is my entry for our GB. I just ordered the kit; Roden PC-6. Should be pretty cool. It's a classic bush plane with extraordinary talents Keep 'em comin Peter 11
Martinnfb Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 One of the skydiving icons , great choice Peter! Cheers Martin 2
Daywalker Posted March 7, 2022 Posted March 7, 2022 Always loved the "form follows function" look of the PC-6, will be watching this one Peter! 3
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted March 8, 2022 Administrators Posted March 8, 2022 So ugly that it's unable to fly. Instead, the Earth itself simply rejects it and pushes it away 1 5

Instead, the Earth itself simply rejects it and pushes it away Fun fact: it's actually the paint job that keeps it in the air. The optimism depicted in the flying bird allows it to defy gravity and get off the ground. 1 2
Peterpools Posted March 8, 2022 Author Posted March 8, 2022 Thanks Martin Going to be fun and I hope the decals are good as the kit is around ten years old. Keep 'em comin Peter 2
Peterpools Posted March 8, 2022 Author Posted March 8, 2022 Thanks Frank Always loved the PC-6 as I'm a taildrager pilot at heart. I've seen a few out at the airport over the years and she sure gives a show at takeoff if the pilot feels like showing off a bit. Keep 'em comin Peter 3
Peterpools Posted March 8, 2022 Author Posted March 8, 2022 Ernie Surely could be the case but she sure can climb Keep 'em comin Peter 2
Peterpools Posted March 8, 2022 Author Posted March 8, 2022 Carl Now I never thought of that but it does make a lot of sense Keep 'em comin Peter 2
DocRob Posted March 9, 2022 Posted March 9, 2022 That's a really colorful bird Peter, where the warpaint is covering the strange shape of the plane hopefully . My son did his first parachute jump out of this one, so it's kind of down memory lane for me. Cheers Rob 3

Peterpools Posted March 9, 2022 Author Posted March 9, 2022 Rob So your son does Sky diving - way to intense for me but in my book, what an accomplishment. . I spent many years flying and for a pilot, staying in the plane is the natural order of things. Keep 'em comin Peter 3 4
Peterpools Posted March 11, 2022 Author Posted March 11, 2022 My PC-6 arrived today, so when I'm finished with my GT40, I'll be 'Diving In". Keep 'em comin Peter 5
belugawhaleman Posted April 6, 2022 Posted April 6, 2022 Interesting subject for a build. Will be following 1

I did my flying surrounded by the limes of Beavers, Otters, Twin Otters, Caribou, and Buffalo, and I thought I knew STOL. Then I saw a PC-6 takeoff and it made the Twotter look like a slouch. It’s all about big power, high lift, and density altitude. Lightly loaded helps too. 😃 1
