Hubert, I will stick with the kit canopy, it is passable. Falcon canopies are made of unobtanium. And again, I can go nuts and modified everything, but that's not the point.

Thank you Gus, there will be more work required on the nose, mainly finishing touches.

Now you are making me feel bad Martin for not looking harder at my HK Mossie but I am just a builder.:unworthy:;)

I’ll claim the same, Kevin, except when it comes to a subject I love, like a Helldiver.  Otherwise, I like to just build them with little to no correction other than commercially available stuff.

I’m really looking forward to seeing how this turns out

You guys are too kind. I’m just an assembler.
The main section is taking shape. Putty still has to harden overnight. The props are on just to get the extra motivational kick. Carl is saving the day by sending the paddle blades from his Tamiya kit. Thank you Carl.

Totally agree with Peter as I am at the same level. I’m going to start my Tamiya Mossie, I bought it back in 2016 I think, it’s about time. Thanks for the motivation…..

Looking forward to following your Tamiya Mossie build, the key, just follow the instructions and go slow. Everything fits and zero issues.

These are a few pics I took a number of years ago of Bob Jens' restoration...............this bird is flying out of Kelowna as GB-F. It is actually a B35 but it is the same wing and fuselage.......  I have some up close pics of the landing gear if it is of any help.....

Here are a couple shots of what I was talking to you about, Martin.... (these photos are borrowed for reference only)  As per our conversation, you can clearly see there is little evidence of the front spar cap tape, on all different marks... RR299 was an original air frame and I saw this one up close and personal many years ago. So I hope this shows what I was explaning, a little more clearly, so you can decide to make what decision you want with your bird....

Yeah, I think so, it always seems to be a touchy subject when it comes to modelling this bird, but the evidence to me at least is pretty stark.... glad to be of some help, Bud

Already, gonna hang here some pictures of the upper wing surface after a bit of TLC.  The overdone wing-spar tape was sanded down and scribed around the outside perimeter just to outline it’s position.
next : scribing panels and riveting metal parts.

The bombs provided in the kit are so generic, that I’ve listened to brilliant advice from Carl and will be using 250 pounders from Tamiya’s Spitfire.

MArtin this will be epic. You did a nice job working on the soso areas of the kit. Hopefully you will soon enter fun mode with the Mossie. I have only the Tamiya one, but will follow closely. So many great pics already.

Cheers Rob
