I suggest we post any photos here we can find of Harvey from Nats or whatever. I'll do that this weekend, as I think most of mine are on my external drive at home. So we can all remember the good times with him.

I went digging through old posts he made the other day.
My favorite was him holding his new Daisy Red Ryder BB gun he got for Christmas.  I couldn’t find it.  ☹️

Ernie(or Cupcake as I call him..gave him the name at Phoenix IPMS show) phoned Me to tell Me about Harvey's passing.

I listened to his voice mail a dozen times as I could not or would not process that my beloved dearest friend Harvey had gone to Heaven.

I met Harvey,  Ernie,  Tim, Radu et al at the Phoenix  IPMS  show in 2018 and instantly  took to them all. Harvey  and I had been in contact before then and we would have long, really long telephone  conversation  and he, I thought, was a wise, mindful, lovely  gentleman  and an AWESOME  friend. Even MY Mom loved him.

I met him and his wife  Bev in their hotel room ( we were all in the same hotel at that time) and he had brought some gifts for Me... a blue tee shirt with Shell Knob emblazoned  on the front,  a Happy Mug and tea spoon, and loads of beaded necklaces from the Mardi Gras, which I still wear from time to time... I always remembered  him when I did with a sweet fondness.

Our conversations  always ended with him saying, "Love you Maru"

My reply was "love you too". He was an exceptionally  amazing  person  whom I could lean on when my Mom passed away he was there for Me.

I am going to miss his smile, his phone calls, his voice ,  his laughter, his joking, and I have lost a truly super friend. It is very rare to find a human being who thinks of others, and looks after them, guides them and is absolutely  there for you when you need them. He was without  malice or a mean bone in his body.

:unworthy:

Harvey was that person.

He was kind, astute, yet humble. Truly a remarkable  gentleman  and I am proud to have been his friend. And Thank you Harvey for your Services.

As you can see in the photos that Tim posted, I am so happy to be with 2 of my best friends Cupcake and Harvey.

I remember  going out to evening meal  and in that photograph he, Harvey , is how I still think of and remember  him.

I see   Harvey and Ernie  are wearing the tee shirts that I had made and given out to each of those in that group photo. Harvey is truly missed and I hope he is resting in Peace.

Gone maybe but I will not forget him ever. Beautiful  man inside and outside  with a good Soul.

I wish his family all the best in this sad times and send Bev and his children  my sincerest condolences  for their loss.

Rest in Peace Harvey dearest friend.

:unworthy:

Phoenix was an amazing trip to meet you all.  I missed that dinner and the group pic but the trip to Pima (sadly, without Harv) was memorable.  That was quite a Nationals!

This hobby puts together some incredible people.

That's not Ernie but I do believe it may be Gary Hatherly .

Yep hid under the wing outta sun

Wasn't that veteran a retired B-52  pilot ..standing next to his aircraft.

Harvey missed all the PIMA visit  because he and Bev driving to see his children...? when we were altogether Harvey was super happy.

I recall, I got into the IPMS  before it actually  opened to see the tables etc, vendors setting up by bribing the guards ..Ernie and Harvey were with ME.... we had a good look see until we left to come another day to see the actual show...

Those were good happy days....

Oh, right, sorry,  Gary.  Yeah, it was HOT!!!  That's right - Ernie missed Pima, but Tim was there among others.  I remember us sitting in the restaurant waiting for the bus to take us back.  While they were cleaning around us!

That was a B-17 pilot from WWII we talked to.  Fascinating guy.  I still have his book.

Good happy days, for sure!

Just dammit, that's such sad news . I really liked Harv , when I came here Gaz and I had a long running chat thread with him , often discussing young ladies (to cheer him up a bit when he was down !) A sweet guy , gone too soon .

Yep, that's Gary of GT Resin, but he's at least 100 pounds and one leg lighter now. He looks great!

One leg?  Gary lose a leg?  I met him at the Nats when they were in Columbia.

It was great to meet you and Gary and Dave (Denders) at the Nats last year. I wish I could have met more of you, including Harv. I was supposed to go to the Vegas one as it was my 50th that year. I even had the hotel booked and then COVID happened and I couldn't go.

Yep, but he's doing better than ever. Plans to be at Nationals this year as a spectator, not a vendor.

Rest in peace Harv.

I'm glad to have known you, even if we never got the chance to meet.

Harvey and my dad went to rival High schools, Harvey just a couple of years later!!!! I also attended the same high school as my dad. So Harv and I would talk about his old stomping grounds and what has changed and has not. His father and the Fighting Sea BEES
