Hold the presses!!  I was emptying out the box and THIS appeared in the bottom of the box, under all the wrapping paper.  Bonus!!

(But wow, I was going to toss the box but decided to keep it to pack away holiday decorations.  Whew!!)

Even comes with insignia masks and a clear sheet (which will someone please tell me what that is for?)

Trim the clear film, place over stencils to hold them in correct position when removing from backing paper and apply to model.  Carefully peel off transfer film leaving stencil in place.

Aerocraft Models in England.  Ali is active on LSP.  He puts out some really nice stuff.

Cool, I've bought some of his canopies (Revell P-51D) as his clear resin is amazing.  He's a good guy, too.  Met him at Telford.

A 1/48 kit occupies roughly 30% of the volume of the 1/32 equivalent … :)

You could do a forced perspective dio , with compressed depth of (Russian, of course) field ….

Now, about those pills … ;)

A book … And what a book ! This is the last « in Action » book, on the TBD Devastator, by Dana Bell.

wow !

i-RcxTGBB-600x450.jpg

Needless to say it supersedes, and by far, the previous « in Action » book on the same subject. I have a significant library on the TBD, plus a huge compilation of pictures I gathered on the net, but this one still manages to add pictures I had never seen hitherto, nor even, to my despair, found …

Add to that the infinitely knowledgeable comments by Dana Bell, and you have an absolute « must have » book, at least if you have even a passing interest on the TBD.

This one showed up in the mail yesterday.  Picked it up off LSP classifieds.   I have the old Revell Stuka but always wanted the “tank buster” with the underwing cannons.

Today I got my Hobby Zone building jig from Super Hobby in Poland.  With the biplanes in the stash this should make things easier.

Just arrived....Got it from Burbank's house of Hobbies.

From Tamiya it's their Mitsubishi A6M2b Zero Fighter Model 21 (Zeke)

In 1/32 (60317).  I've been wanting this kit for some time. It looks nice...

I has lots of detail and many features (gimicks?) Like working flight controls, functional landing gear that fold and are sprung, photo-etch, and

etc. I've been looking at the instructions that I downloaded from Scalemates for some time...it looks like a straightforward build.

Going back to my roots here....I built a collection of Japanese aircraft in the

80s. They were mostly 1/48 offerings from Tamiya, Otaki, Hasegawa, and Nichimo.
