Count0 Posted May 29 Posted May 29 1/48 Airfix. This may be my first ever Airfix kit. Not sure. I wanted a car door Typhoon but didn't move fast enough. Anyway, here it is. Have to do the box art scheme, for many reasons, but mostly the over wing missiles. That just looks crazy, to me, like something out of a Gerry Anderson show. 7
DocRob Posted May 29 Posted May 29 Another parcel from Plaza Japan arrived at my doorstep. The Aoshima Liberty Walk 1/24 Nissan R35 GT-R Type 2 Ver. 2 is a real Prollkarre (German vulgar slang for a painfully overdone car). I only bought it, because it was cheap and because I loved the purchased before decal set in chrome gold JPS fashion for that car. The real reason for the purchase were the tools, another pointed tweezer (you can´t have enough) two scribers with 0,8mm and 1,5mm blade from HQ Parts, a scribing tool from Hasegawa and some etched mini sawblades from Tamiya and not shown, a bunch of Kabuki refills. A quick test of the HQ Parts scribers on a 1/24 car body proved very promising. I prefer "cutting" scribers to pressing needle scribers, as you don´t have risen edges of the scribe line. I had only a 0,25 mm wide Tamiya scriber which was too wide and skipped out of the grove often. Cheers Rob 6

belugawhaleman Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I've been adding to my Dspiae collection lately with these recent arrivals... I added their ..... AT-CR Aluminum Alloy Stepped Wire Roller AT-PST Parallel Scribing Tool. I'm impressed by this thing! Solid all metal construction. AT-MA Multi-Angle Sanding Slider This thing is pretty slick! AT-R Craft Tools Rack. This thing is built Like a tank. Very solid. It's described as a "Low Pressure Forging" Anyway, very nice. Anyway, I've managed to get back to the bench and I have been trying to get it organized. I have been mostly living at my mother's home...Her eyesight is failing and she needs constant care. My bench is at my home, which I have been visiting infrequently. Last week I was able to do some work on an "Egg Girl" resin kit. I hope to get back there this weekend and perhaps finish up that Tamiya Semovente. Meanwhile, I'll be mostly buying tools and Supplies. I did order a 1/35 RSO kit by Miniart that will be coming soon. I'm really impressed by the quality of these Dspiae items and I would recommend them. I hope you find this post useful. Thanks; Paul 4
BlrwestSiR Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Some very nice tools there Paul. I agree that Dspiae tools are generally very high quality. 3
BlrwestSiR Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I finally got my GWH P-40 kit that I ordered from Lucky Model I don't know how long ago. I'll be doing this in RAF desert colours when I get to it. 4

I had almost forgotten about it as for some reason, Lucky sent the rest of the order earlier but not the P-40 even though it was in stock at the time. 2
HubertB Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Got us a two-weeks vacation in Bali … There are worst views to wake up in the morning … Hubert 4
ScottsGT Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Hubert, looks like paradise! When we did the cruise around the UK last month, our sommelier on the ship was from Bali and was telling us we needed to add Bali to one of our destinations. Now the funny part….my wife didn’t even know there was a place called Bali. I might surprise her with a trip there next year 3
