Martinnfb Posted Friday at 02:22 PM Posted Friday at 02:22 PM I did indeed. But they’re hard to get in Canadistan. Maybe later when the hipe fades. 4
BlrwestSiR Posted Friday at 05:01 PM Posted Friday at 05:01 PM After purging my wallet, I picked up a nice Glenfiddich in Hong Kong. My wife Sue added the Kavalan when she left Taipei. 5

GusMac Posted Friday at 10:18 PM Posted Friday at 10:18 PM My senior colleague at work has been in Peru over the festive season to visit his wife's family and brought me back this bottle of Peruvian rum As a Scotsman I found it hard to believe that rum could come in vintages like malt whisky but this stuff is beautiful neat over ice. 5

I have a couple nice rums in the cabinet as well. They definitely are very nice like you mentioned. 4
Martinnfb Posted Friday at 11:37 PM Posted Friday at 11:37 PM This baby just arrived. Thank you Chris. 5
belugawhaleman Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago I got some stuff today..... From Okmo/Retro Technology Co. Ltd. Their Engine Mini Benz model (R18) This is a working I.C. , 4-stroke, water- cooled , replica of the Engine used in Karl Benz's 1886 patent wagon that is recognized as being the first Automobile. I've been wanting this thing for some time. And Wow! Is my first impression😀 It is very nicely made, solid brass and Stainless steel construction nicely painted. It features all the characteristics of the original. The engine uses a slide valve for the intake that is operated by a crank pin on the face of the exhaust cam. The exhaust is controlled by the mentioned cam and uses a more conventional poppet valve. This engine uses a Hall sensor set-up for ignition. A magnet set in the flywheel controls Timing. A tiny 3/16-40 spark plug is used. There's no governor on this one....Speed is controlled by a throttle. Very cool😀 that horizontal, drum-looking thing At the top of the crankshaft is a pulley meant for flat belts. A vertical canister is used as a water hopper for cooling. I added a view of the actual engine in the vehicle. I also got some aftermarket stuff:::::: Some Friulmodel late Bradley tracks, and a Quinta set for the Tamiya Wildcat. Also, Another Meteor from ..Tamiya This time a F3..(61083) 2

Martinnfb Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Indeed. Still the only option in 1/48 scale. Should be a nice Nostalgia build with the help of a whole bunch of 3D printed resin. I tried this kit a decade ago but bumped into a twisted wings which was the end of it. 2 1
Spitfire Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Well with an Airscale Defiant in the stash and a Typhoon on the way I splashed out on one of these to help me cope with the printed parts. Cheers Dennis 3

The one I built as a teen hung from my bedroom ceiling until it bumped into several pillows when my visiting cousins decided to have a pillow fight in my room. I wasn't too thrilled about that. The first kit I tried to do engraved panel lines on.

Again I had lots of trouble with customs, but finally it went through. It´s the long oop Tamiya 1/20 kit of the Jordan 191, one of the most beautiful F1 racers to my eye. The decals yellowed a bit, but I have substitutes ordered, along with carbon fiber decals, paints and some PE. It was my first purchase from Plastic Model Republic and everything went well. They have a large portfolio from hard to get oop kits, which are called "used", but in fact are new, with some signs of aging, like with the decals. Cheers Rob IIRC this was Schumachers first ride?? ... I used to love building those 1/20 scale Tamiya kits ... The Lotus 99t, McLaren MP4 and the Piquet/Mansell Williams Honda FW11 ... I chuffed out a Ferarri driven by Mansell at some point also - Fantastic era ... really hoping I can get back to my 1/12 scale kits at some point soon. Rog
