Is that a Dornier in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?

Strolling along.. Pit tub is painted. (Well almost). Not getting distracted with adding too much detail. Just some Airscale placards and gauges.

I flattened the rear of the IP with green card, added the instrument housings and wiring. This will be visible from the outside.

Hi Ralph,

Not sure what I'll mount it on. Maybe the Tamiya Spitfire mount, but that may be too flimsy.

@Cees: The thing is: there is no temptation to add details, since they don't exist yet. Yesterday I was in the hobby store and almost bought HGW harnesses. Almost...

Here's some progress on the pit.

Jeroen,

Before closing everything up you must have figured it out how to mount it. The

Point of fixation must be sturdy enough to take the weight. Even though it is not

that heavy.

Mind if I plagiarise the work on the rear instrument panel? ;)

Loving that pit. I've just chucked base paint in the interior of mine. Following this closely.

Well. I'm thinking of using one of those 3 point stands that lets you pose the plane.

The model sits on the points and does not need construction. Anyhow.... The fuse is glued now :)

@James: sure! Knock yourself out :)

First basic colors are on the pilot.

Next up is detail painting and flesh tones in the face.

Final touch will be a matt coat.

Hi Guys!

Sorry to keep you waiting. Here's where I'm at.

First layer of gloss black. Different shades of Alclad. RLM81 and RLM82 to the tail.

Much more shading to do and I'm going to weather the Sh*t out of it.

Really cool 50 shades of Alclad (Hmm, that'd be a good book title) ..  Superb as always Jeroen!  Nice stand by the way, where's that from??
