Wingco57 Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 Fisher is working on masters for a 1/32 resin Firefly. Masters probably on show at Telford. Now THAT is what I call good news. Pay attention in the back please! I feel a MLD Firefly coming up. Eric will love this too I think. Cees 1
Administrators Fran Posted February 24, 2016 Administrators Posted February 24, 2016 REALLY???????????????? That`s is awesome news!! Need to start save the money....

Administrators Fran Posted February 25, 2016 Administrators Posted February 25, 2016 Nice, nice, NICE! Is that all you can say? Haaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaa (fiendish laugh with head heavily tilted backwards). Cees Yes it is!! :D ... because its resin!! If it was Plastic, the word would be WOOOOW!! 1
Wingco57 Posted February 25, 2016 Author Posted February 25, 2016 Hmmm yes, I agree about that, but it will orobably the only option. Cees
Wingco57 Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Typical, four admin posting on this subject, where are the other members with an interest in a Firefly? Cees 1
Spitfire Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I would be interested in a BPF Firefly Mk I rather than the later Marks, but each to their own and it's nice that this neglected subject is getting some attention at last. Cheers Dennis. 2
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted February 26, 2016 Administrators Posted February 26, 2016 I don't think a plastic injection moulded model will be releases of this subject anytime soon.... so.... We should be happy with a resin version. 1
Wingco57 Posted February 26, 2016 Author Posted February 26, 2016 Fully agree, the Firefly in 1/32 must be a stunner in any medium. Cees
GusMac Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Sorry Cees, resin is out of my league at the moment. I'll leave that to you experts who've reached the exhalted heights of administration! Does look like an unusual subject though. Remember seeing Gannets at airshows as a kid - also an unusual beast. Gus
Wingco57 Posted February 27, 2016 Author Posted February 27, 2016 Gus, Resin is not my cup of tea either but for a Firefly I will make an exeption. Cees
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted February 27, 2016 Administrators Posted February 27, 2016 I'd buy one. In a heartbeat.
Administrators Fran Posted February 29, 2016 Administrators Posted February 29, 2016 I really like the look o the Firefly! I have Azmodel one... So i really have to get one in 1:32!
Administrators JeroenPeters Posted February 29, 2016 Administrators Posted February 29, 2016 With folded wings please!! 3
One-Oh-Four Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Typical, four admin posting on this subject, where are the other members with an interest in a Firefly? Cees The members are doing what we Admins should do more: building models and posting about them! Ooops..... 3
kahunaminor Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 I will be looking into this. The RAN flew these and HMAS Nowra is just down the road from me and they have one there. It will round out my RAN collection of to be built! 1
brahman104 Posted March 1, 2016 Posted March 1, 2016 Yep, I would definitely get one. I have a vac Mk 1, but a Mk V would take cut out the middleman for what I was going to do anyway! Craig
Wingco57 Posted March 2, 2016 Author Posted March 2, 2016 Craig, A 1/32 vacform Firefly, that that exist? Cees 1
brahman104 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Craig, A 1/32 vacform Firefly, that that exist? Cees Sure does! I got it from Tigger models. Very basic, but has everything you need I did get it with the intention of making the mk V. Might be up on the to do list once I finish the fort...... Craig
Wingco57 Posted March 23, 2016 Author Posted March 23, 2016 From the horse's mouth: I quote from the Internet: Yes indeed, it's the Mk 5 , later on I plan to finish up the Mk.I , but I must sneak out a little something for my USAF friends first! Paul Unquote Cees 1
simmo.b Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 I staryed the thread over on LSP that Paul confirmed that the Mk 5 will be comming, to say I'm excited is an understatemennt RAN Korean war aircraft here I come!! 1
