BlrwestSiR Posted October 2, 2018 Author Posted October 2, 2018 I painted the tracks using a mix of Metallic Brown and Dark Iron. I'm not completely sold on the colour but it at grow on me after I weather them a bit. 6
BlrwestSiR Posted November 9, 2018 Author Posted November 9, 2018 Just a quick update. I've somehow misplaced the Firefly box so I can't get any more done until I find it. As for the LCM, I'm waiting on a figure set to arrive at my LHS so that's stalled too. It's stored to arrive next week so hopefully I'll be back at it shortly. In the meantime, I'll keep looking for the Firefly box. Carl 1
IainMackayDall Posted November 9, 2018 Posted November 9, 2018 Has anyone ever found any scale models to build the larger D-Day LST craft? 2

Thanks gents! I figure since the Sherman is going on a landing craft, it wouldn't be too dirty. I have given it a light dusting though. 1
BlrwestSiR Posted November 18, 2018 Author Posted November 18, 2018 I'm still working on the other Firefly. I've swapped in Tasca drive sprockets and idlers with bogies and tracks from AFV Club. Next to big brother 6

DocRob Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Great looking couple, can't wait to see the figure for the shrinked one. When I see the mix of kits on your bench, I wonder how you manage not to mix up the parts , a Sherman with wings, …. Some time ago I did a not so serious review about another little fellow, The deformed Meng KV-2 and had a lot of fun building it and writing the review. https://forum.largescalemodeller.com/topic/5406-and-now-to-something-completely-different-meng-kv-2/ Cheers Rob 1
Guest DannyVM Posted November 19, 2018 Posted November 19, 2018 Carl, i love that Firefly, and i love the combination of the LCV and the Sherman, looking forward to see your progress. Regards Danny
BlrwestSiR Posted December 20, 2018 Author Posted December 20, 2018 Thanks Danny! The Firefly is definitely my favourite version of the Sherman. 1
BlrwestSiR Posted December 20, 2018 Author Posted December 20, 2018 A small update on this project.i finally got it back on the bench and the Firefly at least is almost done now. I added a bit of stowage to the front hull and the driver figure. I need to add the periscope covers and then it'll be completed. Here it is with the finished cute Firefly. Carl 4
