I'm heading the other way ...following on from the 1979 motorbike, have now bought a 1982 W123 230E for a daily driver. No tax , no testing , no sensors or modules or ECM or EGR etc ...etc . Only sensors on board are my four paws and the seat of my pants, plus the exhaust smells ...proper.

Not looking like I'll be doing much scale work for a while ..feel I may be watching a bit too much Vice Grip Garage ....

Was in a minor fender bender...well, really more of bumper scratch,

While driving my '15 Jeep Cherokee on Thursday. Another car tried to get

into my lane. Damage not bad, but will get it fixed anyway because the

rest of the car is pristine. My beloved '97 Nissan 240sx will get

donated this month as soon as I find what I did with the title.

Bought new in November of 1997, this car has been a reliable, fun, and great car for all those years. Will be missed.

Nice car, PW. I owned one myself some years ago. Like others said, these are indestructible. Best, if the sunroof is still working. You know, there is a decent kit of the Benz, made by Diopark out there. I built one, many moons ago.

Nice car! You are heading right direction👍 Others have to buy 4 electric cars before this car stops moving... that if anything is environmentally friendly. "No batteries included"😁

That is very tempting .....esp as it has the steel not alloy wheels ...looks like a scene from Generation Kill .

Sunroof works on mine which is good news as there was no aircon fitted on this one . 😃

Seen at Eurobike, the new Giant full carbon fibre balance bike.

Years ago I bought the first carbon frame bicycle by Giant. I think

it was around '89 or 1990 or thereabouts. Still have it in the attic.

I did some tours with it. Afterwards (late '90s) I did some upgrades.

New Shimano 105sc group with STI shifters, and ceramic rims with

titanium spokes. After these upgrades I kind of lost interest in cycling.

It now sits , a museum piece, in Mom's attic, still in superb condition.

I remember those!  CADEX  I think Giant called them. At least the mountain bike version anyways. Carbon tubes with aluminum lugs. I had a Trek road bike built the same way from the mid 2000s.

Yup, Cadex 980C. I also added a Kestrel carbon fork as the aluminum one it came with was a bit flexible! I also have a Trek

1420 from 1993.....Still use that one

Seems a bit OTT for a kid's balance bike. What's wrong with a few old planks?

It's completely over the top. The bikes that are made for kids these days absolutely blow away what existed in our time. Odds are they're more advanced than what we rode as adults. There's brands now that just do children's bikes and they easily run into the thousands of dollars. And not the Canadian Loonie kind either.

Years ago, when I think our oldest was maybe 2-3 years old, I almost bought a titanium tricycle. The company that made it did it for fun but had enough people ask for one they did a limited run. It was I think $500 at that time.  I nearly bought one of the last ones they made but came to my senses. I think it was more like my wife bludgeoned me into my senses.

Saw a nice Aston Martin display today. The DBS needed a bit of bodywork though.

The Vantage had the  optional winter package which would be handy for Canada.

Finally there was a really old one in silver.

Fingers crossed it’s either a pump or lines.  Those racks aren’t cheap.

A quick update. After checking all the hoses I found one that was leaking. Ordered a replacement from the dealer before we left on vacation. This weekend I finally got it installed and topped off the power steering fluid. All is back to normal after a drive around the neighbourhood.
