Martinnfb Posted February 27, 2019 Author Posted February 27, 2019 Thank you Harvey, Hubert has recommended Derek to me as well, but it seems that Derek has disappeared . It has been a while since I saw his on-line presence last time. I hope he's ok. 4
Martinnfb Posted February 27, 2019 Author Posted February 27, 2019 Just now, Clunkmeister said: Martin, this is AWESOME, man!! Wow! I've always loved the Beau, but have never built the old Revell kit. I'm loving what you're doing with these old Jurassic mouldings. Thank You Ernie, we shall see how righteous is this fight once I place it side by side with Tamiya Mosquito 6

Martinnfb Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 I know that substance abuse was really trendy in the 70s, but this passenger seat is plain-trippy 7
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted February 28, 2019 Administrators Posted February 28, 2019 Like a bean bag chair... Not even close to being as bad as the La-Z-Boys in the Hobbycrap 1/48 CF-100 though. And yes, I see Derek on FB everyday. We’re all chuckling at each other’s goofy stuff. 4
Peterpools Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Marin Holy Smokes - what a build and just love your approach and detailimg. Kudos on the awesome work Keep ‘em comin Peter 4
Martinnfb Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 Thank You guys. I was wondering if somebody knows , what is happening in this area? 2
harv Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Not much IICR. But there is a frame between the seat and the hole,( never mind. Went back and looked at drawings and its all ribs),,,,,,,harv 3
NigelR32 Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Did I read somewhere this is supposed to be a simple build?? Uh... I need to adjust my judgement.. I thought a simple build was something like the new Tamiya 1/48 spit?? 5
Martinnfb Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 Reasonably simple Nige :), this area is a major focal point, everyone will try to peek in and go, wrrrrrrrrrrrm I am gona focus on the inner door mechanism and if somebody tells me that it was covered, well don't WRRRRRM ! eeeeeeeee, TA, TA, TA ! My shrink said it's OK. 4
Martinnfb Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 So I scratched the internals according the drawing above, later realizing that the foot release housing was sitting in the centre on a plate hat was partially covering the parachute hatch....Hmm I hit it with thick coat of paint so you can see the carnage 6
Martinnfb Posted February 28, 2019 Author Posted February 28, 2019 Radiator intakes , louvers will be added once the saw dust saddle down I used etched metal from Trumpeter's P-39 that ended up where it rightfully belongs , garbage 9
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted February 28, 2019 Administrators Posted February 28, 2019 Trumpeter P-39? 3
