Tony, I have a feeling the battery was moved. If you want to change it, I have an unstarted kit that’s gonna put on its wartime uniform, so I’ll swap you that one for a new one if you wish.

Well damn.  I went back and studied the pictures and I dont think there was anything behind the pilots seat.  Reason being, theres not a fuel port anymore on the fuselage side for the cockpit fuel tank.  Now I need to contemplate how to correct this or if i can...

Tony, projects like this are full of backtracking, but at the end you gonna have one, sick racer. Keep on pushing.

Cheers

Tony, come raid my unopened Tamiya kit.  I had a feeling about the battery and radio from the beginning.  Those wartime things were nothing but dead weight on a racer.

I had to try and adapt and overcome.   I appreciate the offer though!

150 ft agl, inverted, shifted load, one’s feathered, the other’s well and truly ablaze, oh, and you can’t find you Jepp charts.

Now what?

Adapt and overcome?

Or quickly call the tower to start filming because it’s going to quickly get really spectacular.

I dont need my charts at 150 ft, with one feathered I'll let her roll on her own back to upright flight, and the shifted load gives me access to the emergency exits when I slide to a stop while the 2nd one burns....

Damn I'm good!

Drop tanks are here!! Way better than what I had and the correct size too.  You can see the noticeable difference between the two sizes.

Super clean work Tony :unworthy:

Thanks.  This is the first time I've scratched a part, so it's a learning curve for sure.  Happy with the fit:

THIS , is a very cool, build................definitely not the normal war bird.... I LOVE this....

Thanks Jeff.

I just ordered some archer rivets to add a little detailing to the rear area.  I'm honestly having a blast with this build and will certainly look into more civilian builds very soon.

Just catching up and what a great project for the Nats.  Terrific work and enjoying following your progress. Nothing like having Martin on the case!

Keep 'em comin
