Martinnfb Posted May 9, 2019 Author Posted May 9, 2019 Just a small update, yet I have to mention that a set of mask arrived. It was designed by Mr. Lazar , the owner of the AML company and it is absolutely finely cut, super tiny and incredibly precise . BIG THANKS TO MIREK ! I tried to take a picture, somewhat difficult with my cellphone, however I boosted contrast and magnified the thing a bit , so you guys can see what. I am talking about. 5
Jeff Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 AND he even got the Maple Leaf correct, something most cannot do, that looks incredibly good ! 3
Jeff Posted May 10, 2019 Posted May 10, 2019 So,.................... I have been watching this process very closely.................... Martin, what kind of epoxy putty did you use? I have a hankering to do the old Revell 1/32 scale Bell 206 Jet Ranger, BUT the nose section is EVERYTHING wrong....... I am thinking , that I could maybe, just maybe make it look like something with the same epoxy putty you are using here, BUT I am not sure what to go buy, could you.............. when you have time, give me a clue ( that came out wrong ) give me an idea of what to look for and see if I can get here in Nelson, please? NO hurry, but I should start to think a little bit on this idea...... might be on to something here..... 1
Martinnfb Posted May 10, 2019 Author Posted May 10, 2019 Hi Jeff. The yellow thing is Tamiya putty. And the grey stuff is Apoxie. Apoxie is hard to get, but Tamiya is readily available in BC. 3

cf18hornet Posted September 17, 2023 Posted September 17, 2023 Just came across this thread as I’m going to start my own Mi-17 in Canadian markings. I was very interested in this build but unfortunately the updates ended before completion. By chance does anyone know the correct colour used on these helos? It looks like a beige/reddish colour. It looks similar to Vallejo Model Color 70.804 Beige Red (FS 31433) from the only two pictures available. Thanks in advance. Mark 3
Administrators Clunkmeister Posted September 19, 2023 Administrators Posted September 19, 2023 Martin! Time to jump back on this. 3 1
